„This place was a perfect place to stay on my trip to. A few miles from Cloudcroft, but a quick drive up the mountain to the heart of the town with the added bonus of being close to the High Rolls hiking trails. When I had trouble with the entry code, the owner showed up in seconds to help me in. I didn't think the photos quite did the place justice - there were three beds and lots of comfy seating. „Our group of four stayed 5 nights here as our base to ride the Riudoso, Cloudcroft and Roswell areas of New Mexico. This property had plenty of parking for our two trucks and bike trailers. The home is very close to a Walmart Neighborhood market, which was quite handy. The home had ample storage for our clothing, riding gear, and food. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood. „The host, in the "about this property" says, "if you don't like dust, this isn't the property for you". Dell City and the surrounding area is indeed dusty, but we absolutely relished our time there. The property was perfect for our group of four; it was quite roomy and comfortable; it was well furnished and supplied; it was fun with its West Texas decor and outside picnic table; and there is no closer location if the goal (as was ours) is spending time in Guadalupe Mountains National Park.  ...

„Due to where this house sits, you have to go up a pretty good incline with loose gravel/rock. You could make it with a 2-wheel drive vehicle from one side, but 4-wheel drive is recommended. Once you get up there, you won't want to leave though...both for the view and then inconvenience of coming back down the hill...so get everything you need first so you don't have to leave again! It was a good stay even with the high winds during our visit. We would definitely go back.“
