„This was a nice house to stay in. With 10 of us we filled the space but everyone was comfortable. We had two adults and 8 kids and stayed one night. The area is really nice. The kids loved throwing frisbees in the backyard and swinging on the tree swing. The house was very clean and well stocked. It was nice to have a good place to do laundry! “

„Everything about this listing was accurate. The home is spotless, beautifully decorated, and a short drive to all the must-see spots in NRG. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and make our birthday girl feel special upon arrival. We were blown away by the kindness. Beds were comfortable, fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer. The place was great. Recommend to families for sure! “

„We stayed here as a family with children and 1 dog. Overall it was a very positive experience. Clearly much investment and effort went into the remodel of an older home. „What a find this place was! Loved the retro decor but with modern appliances and amenities. Very comfy beds and furniture, and lovely screened porch facing the woods. Mt. Hope is not much of a town but it’s located about halfway between the northern and southern ends of the NP which made for shorter drives in either direction to access trails. „The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we could not get the hot tub to work while we were there. The host was very communicative and the house was very clean and had all of the amenities listed. The game room turned out to be a gem that we didn’t expect to utilize as much as we did. „The property is an affordable option if you want to visit New River Gorge and not pay hundreds per night at the resort or tent camp in order to do so. For the price you get a clean, air conditioned place to stay with a basic kitchen and great shower, which is perfect for after a day of hiking or other activities. You can't walk to get anywhere and it's a 15-20 minute drive into town, so just plan accordingly. The host is very responsive and helpful. “
