« It is a historic three story home built in the 1800’s on 9 acres. The 6 rooms are richly appointed. The area is surrounded by corn fields. The owner, Hans is an excellent friendly host and a first class musician. He also serves as a breakfast chef and serves french toast from a family secret recipe. My wife and I throughly enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if luckily our travels bring us back to the area. Highly recommended. »

« We loved the idea of an abandoned school being converted for multiple uses. Being educators it was fun staying in a school. Very close to beautiful hiking trails. Enjoyed our stay immensely! »

« The Cozy Cottage #1 was a fun place to take our grandkids for a brief stay. The two lofts with queen beds and the front porch swing were a hit with them! Beds were comfortable, the kitchen had full-sized appliances, and surroundings were quiet. It was great for an overnight stay to enjoy the area state parks! »

« Absolutely stunning cabin! When we arrived there was an extreme heat wave 90 degrees. They had that AC cranked and incredibly comfortable for our arrival.The quality of the furniture, fixtures, and even down to the light switches are brand new! Highly recommend if you are looking to disconnect and relax out in nature. The other cabins are right next to you, but still feel slightly secluded. »

« We had a great time during our visit. Bill was a great host and the Lakehouse was a really nice place to stay. We didn’t use the pool, although it looked very nice, we did make use of the poolside fire pit. We very much enjoyed our trip. »

« An excellent choice for a getaway with family. The outdoor amenities were exceptional, from the fire pit to the pool and spas, seating areas, and relaxing in nature. The location was perfect for easy access to beautiful Shades State Park. The kitchen was small for 10 people but adequately stocked. The gaucho grille was not appropriate for our needs: difficult to manage the heat and the grille surface does not work for burgers, etc. A conventional gas, propane, or charcoal grill would provide...
