„The host was very kind and the home was PERFECTLY clean! Great views as well. For the price, this was a very great home and my friends had an incredible ice fishing trip. Only a couple small recommendations. The unit can get very bright, and blinds would be nice for the bedrooms and sleeping areas. It had everything we needed and we had a wonderful week of vacation.There are several several fishing, boating and hiking options within a short drive. The International Wolf Center and North American Bear Centers are less than an hour away in Ely and there is another bear sanctuary a short drive from the cabin.We highly recommend it!“

„So many wonderful things about our stay: the yurt itself (clever and comfy), our host (so helpful and friendly), and the local area (when they say birders are welcome, they mean it). We came up to spend the weekend for our 30th anniversary and added to our bird life list. Memorable, and very much worth a repeat stay. "We booked a three-night stay (Feb 18–21, 2026) at Pier B, primarily for a snowmobile tour. Unfortunately, due to a massive blizzard, our tour for the following day was cancelled right as we arrived. The rooms were simple but very clean and well-maintained. Since we had no reason left to stay in Duluth, we were worried about the remaining two nights. However, the hotel staff was incredibly understanding. They immediately refunded our money for the following two nights without any hassle. We are so grateful for their flexibility and kindness!"
