« What a great find! This cabin embraces the charm of the old and combines it with all the modern conveniences. We wanted for nothing - the kitchen is well-equipped, plenty of linens and blankets, loads of play area for the kids, lots of areas to relax outdoors, there’s even a small beach for the kids to play. We appreciated the use of the kayak and other water toys. The area is very quiet and relaxing. We will be back! »

« The cabin was a great "base camp" for me while working in the area for a few days. It was clean, bright and spacious with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. I especially appreciated the peaceful surroundings and occasional visits from the family dogs! »

« Schon bei unserer Ankunft waren wir erstaunt darüber, wie liebevoll das Haus ursprünglich gebaut und später mit viel Stil renoviert und modernisiert wurde. Das Haus und der Garten sind eine Oase der Ruhe, die nur durch Tiergeräusche, wie die von u.a. Streifenhörnchen, Spechten, einem Kolibri und ab und zu von weiter entfernten Nachbarn unterbrochen wird. Uns hat im Haus an nichts gefehlt: es war u.a. ausreichend Trinkwasser vorhanden, wir konnten ausgiebig kochen und backen in der voll...

« Had a great stay. Love the cabin and remote location right on the lake. My only suggestion is being more upfront about the fact that this cabin is 100% off grid with quite a few processes to ensure you have all the systems running properly every day. This was not a problem for us as we are mechanically inclined, but it did come as a surprise as I didn’t see this in the rental description.Regardless, we had a really wonderful stay and would definitely reccoment the place to others »

« My family had a wonderful time at Birch Haven! The views from this beautiful lakeside cottage were absolutely stunning — waking up in the upper floor bedroom to expansive lake and mountain views was a real treat. The private lakeside deck, complete with comfortable chairs and table, was perfect for listening to the loons with morning coffee and for gazing at the wide starscape - so many stars on a clear night! « Lovely 2 bedroom cabin on the waterfront. Very private and quiet. Just the right place to relax for a week. The cabin was well appointed with everything we needed. Solar power and propane services worked well. Definitely would recommend to others seeking a place off the grid. »
