« Stayed at Cabin Kai 4 (Dec 26â30, 2025). Affordable and located in a beautiful, peaceful area with free parking, water, and Wi-Fi (weak).
Major concern: No window coverings for the floor-to-ceiling bathtub window or windows above the bed and coffee bar, resulting in serious privacy issues while bathing and sleeping. This was very uncomfortable.
Remote location (45 minutes from Hilo); a car is required. No cellphone reception. No nearby restaurants or shops. Towels were not very clean, and...

« Personal doesnât really care about the clients... their smiles are not true. A lot of facilities are « out of order » and I did not see anybody taking care about that. The SWIMMING pool is plenty of children and adults walking gently with glasses. Unless swimming between 7 & 8 am, no possibility to swim. There are nevertheless 3 swimming pools. »

« This hotel is more than its excellent views, oceanside restaurant, incredible staff, and close proximity to downtownâs vibrant life.
This is a place where I did not feel like a tourist. I felt like someone who belonged.
