« We really enjoyed staying at The Duke Williams. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, the included breakfast was delightful (really loved the blueberry pancakes!), and we loved how close it was to the Cathedral and castle. We also appreciated the sound-proofing of the room and the natural light through the windows. The only thing that was tough for us was the mattress. « We have stayed at the Petwood Hotel before, in order to join a friends party.
We loved it so much that I treated us to a room overlooking the garden. It was well worth the extra money, as there was a raised area with a lovely table overlooking the gardens as well as the huge size of the room itself.
The history and atmospheric quality of the hotel is superb and the local area is fabulous, especially for walks or cycling.
Treat yourself to Sunday lunch if you can as a fabulous pianist called...

« A very nice hotel and stay.
A couple of things could have been slightly better (creaky bed and £16 for overnight parking) but overall a good hotel. »

« We didnât stay - after a 350 mile drive we arrived to find it very firmly closed.
Ironic you send this questionnaire after your reservations person (based, unhelpful,y, in Arizona) spent over an hour and a half on the day getting us alternative accommodation. »
