The room was visibly dirty on the countertops and in the bathroom. There was trash left in the bathroom. There was an insect in the shower. The hallway carpets were disgusting and the stairwells were filled with piles of dirty linen. Bring your own towels because they only give two teeny tiny ones. And an eye mask because the parking lot light shines into the room all night and it is never dark.

I will never stay here again. One of the guests were smoking all night, I could smell it in the hallway and in my room. Hallways were very gross. I got to hear music from other rooms until 6:30 A.M. Room wasn’t the best, floors were dirty, and the bed skirt was stained and gross. Went downstairs to say something to staff but couldn’t find anyone. On the positive I didn’t get bedbugs.

Good location, good price, but not clean. The hallways smell of smoke and spices. Graffiti on signs in the stairwell. My bathroom was not clean. Someone was sleeping in the check in area when I checked out this morning. I will never return.

The property staff was very good. They were kind and friendly and informative. The area around the hotel is a little rough and the hotel itself could be a little cleaner. However, my bathroom was nice and clean. The shower was excellent. I had plenty of towels and washcloths the bed mattress was a little lopsided, but all in all, I was very satisfied with what I paid for the room night was provided

When arrived in my room there was a quarter of a toilet paper roll left. The previous people left adult items in the room. Black out curtains didn’t work bathroom door didn’t close. There were mold spots in the shower and the pool was disgusting. I felt like I was being watched the entire time.

Not What My Crew Expected
Well it is a pet friendly hotel / motel. Lots of dogs were barking. No breakfast and pool was dirty. Mildew smell. See owners have to spend money to make money. No improvements being made with this property. It will be a crack motel in 5 years without any changes. I hope not.

Get what you pay for. Convenient.
You get what you pay for. If you just need a decently clean place to stay it's good for that. The lobbies smelled a little. The sheets were stained but no bugs to be seen. The bathroom wasn't the best. It looks as they have been trying to update rooms. The front desk people were great and helpful. We really only needed the room to sleep.

Pros: Check in was fast and easy. I was able to park my car very close to my room. We didnt have any issues with staff or other guests. It was about a 10 minute drive to Great Lakes Crossing. Room was clean. Cons: Everything was fair for the low price we paid but the room was outdated, some poorly done drywall repairs, no artwork on the walls etc. Also, the walls are thin so as people were getting up in the morning it was pretty loud. It didn't bother us but could be an issue for someone needing to sleep in. The noise started around 7am. We did not use the pool or other hotel amenities to comment.

Room was uncomfortable and bare. Lousy pillows and when we asked for extra towels, and shampoo, front desk simply responded, “I don’t where those are.” Phone was broken and the whole room reeked of urine.

Disgusting! I was scheduled to stay at this property for 7 days. It is in my hometown and I knew going in it was going to be a more "budgety" hotel from growing up nearby. The exterior and lobby looks in ok shape. The room was beyond disgusting though. I checked in super late on the first day and was greeted by a very smelly room. It says it is non-smoking, but smells as if it was a smoking room for the last 20-30 years and the smell is permeating throughout all the walls, carpet, and furniture. There were only like two thin sheets on the bed (not even a thicker blanket- which is helpful in Michigan during the fall/winter). The only way to stay warm was the outdated heater, which added more offensive smells to the room. The two sheets that were on the bed were heavily stained with brown and yellowed stains. The grossest aspect of the room is that there were (what appeared to be) bodily fluids all over the artwork, walls, and other surfaces in the room. It honestly just looked as if the room just had the garbage can cleaned out and then was sold to the next customer. I checked out the next morning and went to a different hotel. The room was not similar to what was pictured either. Only the last two images captured in the 31 photos showed a room that was similar to mine. The other images of rooms that were the same type as mine look much more like what I was expecting.

We reserved a room for our daughter and her family. The halls had a chemical smell and the room was dirty. Toenails by the bed and poopy underwear stuffed in the Kleenex holder in the bathroom. People smoking in parked cars. Absolutely horrific. When my daughter complained to the front desk, nothing done to even try to make it right. Terribly disappointed.

Hotel room wasn’t clean at all. There was hair in our hand towel, spiders and bugs everywhere, and stains on the comforter. Overall was not worth the stay.

Waited 15 mins for someone to come to the front desk, the lobby phone did not work so the sign stating “Dial Zero if no one is at the front desk” was pretty pointless. Room was what it was, slept on top of the blankets as we did not want to crawl into the bed, bathroom sink tap sprayed water everywhere, shower faucet dripped and the tub was gross (Covered in black stuff). Parking lot had a bunch of cars in it with flat tires, found that quite odd. We booked it for a concert and knew it would not be a Hilton or something like that but it was pretty bad. Have stayed at Red Roofs before and this one was by far the worst. Only saving grace for us with this hotel is the location served us well.

The room was dirty. The whirlpool tub in the room was disgusting and didn’t work. Bathroom dirty. No water pressure in shower. Bugs in shower. They don’t even give you a blanket. They literally have a sheet as a blanket on the beds. Towels were mildew smell like they sat in the washer too long. Dirty washcloth in the drawer. The room clearly wasn’t cleaned properly before check in. Would not recommend

We stayed the night for a concert at Pine Knob. Overall, good stay and area. There is a restaurant right next door. Beds we’re comfortable but the only blanket on the bed was super thin and we did get a little cold. If you do stay here, bring an extra blanket. I wouldn’t choose to stay here longer than a night.

Very sub standard. Never anyone on the desk. Room not clean, Shower sucked, half roll toilet paper, had to go to walmart to buy more because no one on desk to ask for more. Also had to buy ant traps because our was over taken by ants. Had to actually through half of our food away because of the ants. We will never again stay at a red roof inn. They didn't even have a breakfast bar the whole time we were there.
