We especially enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and swimming off the dock. The host proactively communicated and was readily available for questions. « The house was nice and the view was great but the house was infested with ants and mosquitoes. They were through the entire house. There was bug spray at the house and we used it, it helped some. We had to call the property manager twice in two days. Once because the toilet was broken then again to replace the furnace filter. It was incredibly dirty and we had family with asthma staying. « There were three of us who stayed here for 5 nights (ages 77, 51, & 13). Great communication, nice clean smelling house, comfy beds, and plenty of room. We had everything we needed right from the start. Nice neighborhood, relatively quiet, nice for walks. My father had never heard of a VRBO rental and was blown away when we walked in. ☺️ Would definitely recommend!!! A+ »

« We had a great 3-day weekend at this house. It is immaculate inside and has an amazing covered back deck with views of the lake. The large gently sloping yard made access to the lake easy. The owner met us when we arrived to show us around the house and answer any questions. He was also quick to respond when we messaged him and checked on us after a line of thunderstorms came through the area. »

« University of MN Crookston stayed there while attending the ACHA convention at Murray State. After a 16 hour drive, it was a beautiful place to arrive at. Very easy to navigate to and from the house to Murray State. If the club is ever going to that area again, we will most definitely be staying there! Thank you!! »

« Overall great visit and I would stay again. All communication was great and check in very easy. Inside was clean, well appointed, and in great shape. King bed we used was nice and comfortable. Although inside was great, outside was in need of a major cleaning. Lots of dirt, dead bugs, old spider webs and mud dauber nests everywhere on walls, windows and doors. « We drug our feet planning our anniversary weekend getaway - waiting so much until the last minute that nothing was showing available. I sent Ches & Spring a message asking if they had anything else available and unbeknownst to me, the Ponderosa guesthouse was still available.
