Wonderful house, great stay. So peaceful with gorgeous views, deer everywhere. House has absolutely everything you need and the arcade games and air hockey were so fun. We were staying for a wedding at the state park and it was convenient for family to come in and out and the bride to get ready. Lots of folks in and out and never felt crowded. We enjoyed it and would definitely stay again! Host was very prompt to respond to questions.

Overall, the house was fabulous and exactly as described. Things worth mentioning 1st- The kitchen was well stocked, they offered 3 crockpots, blender, large toaster oven, plenty of dishes and utensils, Kcup and coffee pot option and a nice size cupboard next to the refrigerator to store all your food and paper products. 2nd-plenty of hand and body towels along with washcloths. 3rd-the game room is perfect for the teens including all the classic games for us older folks!4th-The outside area is fabulous with amazing views of the lake and plenty of seating. The state park trail is by the concrete neighborhood entrance sign just beyond the front yard with well marked paths.The 2 queen beds attached to the upstairs balcony are very comfortable and the memory foam mattresses seem newer. We did not utilize all the rooms so not sure about the other rooms. They had dressers in each room and benches for not only storage but to sit or put your stuff on. There are multiple streaming options available so plenty of shows and movies to stream. Some things to note, which did not bother us. . . there are not ceiling fans or TV’s in the rooms and the curtains are sheer so if you need a dark room to sleep, you may want to bring a night mask. Dwayne and his wife were very communicative and very easy to work with! If you are in the area, this house is the perfect location to enjoy Claytor Lake State Park next door. The park has a wonderful beach area for all to enjoy!

Wonderful summer visit

We had a group of family age ranges adults to seven years old. Everyone had a wonderful time and the game room and pool especially were big pluses. There was a brief tower outage and the owner was quick to respond to messages and had flashlights delivered within an hour.

Beautiful house and view

We enjoyed staying in this house very much. The view of the lake is beautiful! We saw many deer. The state park with trails and a marina were very close. It is easy to access from I-81. The pool was cleaned every other day during our stay. The owner is very responsive.The house was spacious and well-kept. The kitchen had all the baking and cooking pans and utensils we needed to cook hot meals. There were plenty of plates, bowls and cups for our group of 9 people. It would be helpful if there were more towel racks, especially in the upstairs bathroom. This house would not be good for individuals with mobility issues because of steps up and down into rooms on the first floor. If we visit this area in the future, we would enjoy staying in this house again.

Graduation weekend win

Fabulous weekend! 30 minute drive to Va Tech for graduation weekend. We loved the lake views with coffee and toes in the pool! Added bonus…my hokie loves galaga…so the video games rivaled our trip to the barcade! You’ll live it here!!

2025 Radford University Graduation!!

Our stay was amazing and the property exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, the view of the lake was amazing, and everyone loved the game room. The Host opened the pool up while we were there, however due to the weather we never had the opportunity to use it. The only things I/we noted was the ice machine in the fridge wasn’t working, we weren’t able to get the TV service to work on the main room (it worked great in the game room), and the door hinges squeak when the doors were opened on the rooms. These items however are minor and didn’t affect our stay or enjoyment of the property. We saw deer, squirrels, rabbits, and a chipmunk all at the residence. We would definitely stay here again when in Radford. Thank you for making our 2025 graduation weekend amazing!!!!

Great Spot

This would be the second time we've stayed here. Great location near the state park. The pool has been redone and is excellent. A great place to unplug and rejuvenate yourself.

lovely location, good house, wonky floors

The location is perfect!! Right next to the park, easy access to the lake, beautiful quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked (over 40 plates???) The pool was great, furniture comfortable and the beds were ok. The back deck and patio are PERFECT for morning coffee and afternoon hang outs. One thing to note...Floors are VERY uneven. 1 inch lip into the kitchen that caused everyone to stumble at least once, many stubbed toes. Floors everywhere else uneven though having new vinyl floors which are in great repair. Owner was super pleasant and responsive. All round lovely spot.

House was great. Two balconies were great! We saw deer fawns suckling their mom. We saw lots of deer, rabbits, and birds right off the decks! The lakeview was perfect and the pool was great! We really liked the location!

Beautiful time with family

We had a wonderful time together at your property. Thank you for sharing your property at such a special time for us. The house was beautiful just as pictured. We enjoyed the pool, fishing at the lake, as well as going for a hike in the state park. Everyone complemented how comfortable the beds were as well when we woke in the morning. Merry Christmas to Us!

Our family gathered for a late Christmas celebration (26th through 29th). The property was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, a lot of sleeping areas, an amazing game room and a balcony connecting two upstairs bedrooms that overlooked the lake.mUnfortunately, since it is mid-winter, we couldn't swim in the pool. .....maybe in the summer. We had contacted the owners a few weeks before Christmas requesting that if they were decorating for Christmas, the leave the decorations up for us. They responded that nobody would be there for Christmas, hence no decoration, but they would try to make it a bit "festive" for us. They succeeded in a big way!, There were beautiful decorations from the front door, throughout the common areas, including a tree! It really made our time feel so much like home and a "real Christmas".I can't say enough good things about the property and its managers.

A great home for an enjoyable Thanksgiving Stay

This is large warm cozy home with a beautiful view of Claytor Lake. The home is convenient to I81 and nearby shopping and restaurants. The house has just about everything you need for a fun family getaway. Our younger folks really enjoyed the game room. There are a number of steps inside the home which maybe an issue for some folks. The house exceeded our expectations! We would definitely recommend this property to anyone, and we would reserve it again ourselves for any future visits to the area.

Amazing Vacation!!

About nine family members were able to come. Varied age groups but activities in the house for everyone. We also brought fun activities of our own. The weather was overcast most of the time, but our outdoor activities were just great. The house is beautiful and well setup. All had their own space when needed, as well as, plenty of room for all of us to hang out together. Highly recommend this beautiful home!
