„Oh, wow! Kinda felt like we were in a Vrbo ad… The house is a beautifully renovated old home just across from the water, and a couple hundred yards from the beach. Beds were luxurious, bookcases of interesting books. The neighbourhood is of older, well looked after houses on a quiet cul de sac on the ocean. Couldn’t be better.“

„The Mahone Bay Beach House was the perfect place to start our vacation in Nova Scotia. It is an easy drive from Halifax Airport and immediately welcomed us in to relax on the deck, inhale the fresh coastal air and take in the sounds of the birds and boats in the harbour. The house is just as advertised with all the amenities available and a nice cheery decor. The master bedroom has a terrific view over the water. After a short sunny nap on the deck we walked down the street and had a nice dinner ...

It lacked a number of things that make life comfortable such as curtains (we were up with the sun), a place to unpack or even put a suitcase other than the floor, end tables and reading lamps, microwave etc. To be fair there was no microwave listed so it's on me that I didn't notice. „I loved staying on the peaceful outskirts of Lunenburg with a water view. This beautifully decorated gem of a cottage is super clean, comfortable and perfectly outfitted. Joan met and oriented me and provided the support to find my way to the best beaches, restaurants, trails etc. for my stay. She is the great balance of helpful and respectful. The area is gorgeous and I want to return!“

„Overall we had a great stay and the owner was quick to respond and even took the time to meet up. The property has a couple of really nice decks and it seems the prevailing wind is towards the house which has a nice cooling effect, and will push boats back towards shore in case legs are tired. Many sights are within 25-60 driving if the property. Cleaning could have been better and the lack of wi-if (was not listed as amenity, but we felt it’s a normal expectation nowadays) was disappointing ...

„Very warm welcome. Wonderful site, with a great view on the lake. Huge terrace, well appointed: sunbeds, BBQ, table for the meal, and veranda to protect us from the bad weather and mosquitoes. Well-equipped kitchen. The only drawback: the last part of the unpaved access road to the house, very damaged and difficult for a berline.“
