„Beautiful retreat in the forest. It was very clean, cozy and comfortable. The bed was very nice and the wood stove was an extra added bonus for morning yoga! There’s a front and back porch and birdsong all day long. Terry was available on the property but gave us privacy. Do yourself a favor and grab a burger at the Jane’s Ranch Grill (it’s the same family’s business). GOAT burgers!!!“

„The cabin has view of the lake through trees from the porch and and dining area window. I loved the sound of lapping water on the shore and heard geese. The cabin had what we needed, and I did not mind washing dishes by hand. The decor was cozy and quaint befitting a cabin. My husband did not like the uneven floor but I was not bothered. The bed was very comfortable, very hot water from tap, and nice aray of cooking utensils. One does need to walk down stone and dirt steps to reach wooden steps ...

„We visited week after Labor Day and felt like we had the whole neighborhood and lake to ourselves. Quiet. Beautiful night skies. Hiked to beginning of wilderness area...stunning views. The services of cafe and store were excellent. Heads up, drive down to cabin is steep. Recommend SUV and AWD. We would stay again.“

„In spite of my last minute reservation and VRBO process shortcomings, the host was more than accommodating from beginning to end. Much appreciated. The outside of the cabin and the location are a bit in contrast to the older and somewhat cramped interior, especially for the price at this time of season. But the only real criticism I have is the size of the restrooms and shower. Otherwise, the property is as candidly advertised by the landlord.“

„My wife and I had a awesome time. Martha was so gracious and has appointed her home with everything guests could possibly want during their stay. The location was perfect! Home exceptionally clean! We will definitely return the next time we visit either Durango or Purgatory to ski!!“

„What a beautiful place to stay. Close to town where there are tons of fun things to do but far away to feel submerged in nature. There is a great trail leading up the mountain right from the cabin which was a great hike. A little steep and rocky in a couple of places but just awesome. „We came for a cycling event in Durango. The place was perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked and included coffee. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. We had access to the pool and hot tub. It is about a 7 minute drive to downtown Durango, so close, but not a quick walk. It felt safe and quiet. The view from the living room is of the gorgeous snow-topped mountains.“

"Wir waren zwei Nächte im Comfort Inn & Suites Durango. Das Zimmer war schön, leider nicht ganz sauber. Das Frühstück ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, da der zuständige Mitarbeiter mit einem Hemd voller Tierhaare das Essen aufgefüllt hat. Wie gesagt - Sauberkeit ist nicht oberste priorität in diesem Hotel. Ansonsten waren alle Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und die Lage ist ebenfalls sehr gut. / We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites Durango for two nights. The room was nice, but unfortunately not very clean. The breakfast was a bit nasty, cause the employee in charge served the food with a shirt full of animal hair. As I said - cleanliness is not a top priority in this hotel. Otherwise, all the staff were very friendly and the location is also very good."
