« Qui na pas rever dans sa vie de pouvoir dormir dans une de ces merveilleuse auberge anglaise du 18 e siecle ou dans un manoir Avec d immense cheminee et bien maintenant pour mon epouse et moi c est fait.le confort est parfait et sur place le restaurant excellent.nous reviendrons. »

« The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning. »

« Beautiful bedrooms in quirky old wooden hotel. The food is very good, but the restaurant gets very noisy as it’s so full. »

« Staff not very friendly (both on check in and check out). It seemed as if they would like to be anywhere except where they were then and there and they did not seem keen to help with anything. The walls are very thin and people speaking in the corridor sound like they are in your room. You can also hear everything outside. Did not have a good night's sleep and would not book to stay here again. »

« Great hotel, great for dogs, food was amazing, I love a good steak, I send back lots of steaks as they are not cooked how I like them but this was spot on... bed was so good, and the breakfast was a great fry up.. could not fault it »

« Arrivée le soir à 23 h hotel fermé, hotel vétuste, propre, le matin salle petit déjeuné fermée, on doit chercher le personnel pour y accéder. »

« Winchelsea is a fascinating historic place. The ancient New Inn is a central part of it. For a night's stay it's fine: our room was comfortable enough and had a good view. Breakfast and supper offered average pub fare. What the New Inn really needs is fresh investment: the public areas are tired and e.g. our TV/ remote was worn out. »

« This is a brilliant set of rooms above a pub, although they are so well sound proofed you do not hear any noise. The staff went out of their way to help us. 5/5. »
