Etwas in die Jahre gekommen!
Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Im ganzen Haus liegt ein dicker Teppichboden, der einen etwas fiesen Eindruck machte. Wir haben versucht auf der Terrasse Champagner zu trinken, wurden aber nicht bedient. Im Flur zu unsrem Zimmer standen an beiden Tagen Reste von Lebensmitteln - der Fernseher war für eine Junior Suite sehr klein und es gab keine Minibar und Klimaanlage…

Renovierunsbedürftiges Hotel
Wir haben ein ruhiges Zimmer angefragt und haben ein Zimmer in Erdgeschoss direkt an der Straße bekommen, dort eine schreckliche Nacht verbracht. Das Bett war extrem unbequem, das Bad seit der 60'er nicht mehr renoviert.

grossartiger Aufenthalt im Grand Hotel
das Grand Eastbourne ist wirklich grand. Beste Lage, Halle und Nebenräume wie man es von solch einem Hotel vorstellt. Alles gepflegt. Hervorragender Service in allen Bereichen, sehr zuvorkommend. Frühstück und leichtes Mittagessen waren auch sehr gut. Ein Hotel, wenn man nach „altem Grandhotel Feeling“ logieren möchte, bestens zu empfehlen. Die Atmosphäre ist aber dennoch nicht steif. Das gebuchte Zimmer war so wie ich es erwartet hatte. Sehr grosszügig, sauber. Wasser, Teekocher, Bisquits, sogar Nespressomaschine waren vorhanden und wurden immer nachgefüllt. Roomservice auch bestens. Habe die kurze Zeit genossen.

Hotel owners urgently need to invest a lot of money into the spa and pool areas. The indoor pool was so gross, I couldn't use it. Other areas of the hotel smell disgusting too. For example the snooker room. The hotel should replace the old and smelly carpets all over the hotel.

Tolles Hotel
Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt, allerdings hätte ich erwartet, dass auch die Standardzimmer bei diesem Preis nicht über der Lüftungsanlage liegen. Bei offenem Fenster zu schlafen war auf Grund der Lautstärke leider nicht möglich, daher wurde es schnell stickig das hat den Aufenthalt etwas getrübt.

Tolles Hotel
Es war ein toller Aufenthalt mit einem sehr guten Service. Das Hotel hat eine atemberaubende Architektur und liegt direkt gegenüber dem Strand. Es ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber deswegen nicht schmuddelig, sondern eben very British. Es war schön. Preis / Leistung haben für uns gestimmt.

A wonderful stay at the grand with attentive staff who are friendly and approachable especially Tony at the main entrance to the hotel who is a great asset to the team by being very courteous and helpful at all times The executive room was very spacious and had wonderful views looking out to sea from all angles the bed was very comfortable and gave us both a good night's sleep The breakfast was exceptional with a wide choice of fresh fruits pastries smoked salmon and various cold meats with a choice of fresh juices and teas the cooked breakfast was again unfaultable with eggs cooked to your preference with perfection and accompanied by endless tea and coffee all served in silver pots and jugs! We used the swimming pool and steam room and had a wonderful experience spoilt with lovely laundered bathrobes and complimentary slippers will definitely stay again xx

Breakfast let it down
When I first walked in I was so impressed, the hotel is very opulent and the staff are very welcoming, then you walk into the room that was very nice but a bit flat after the grandeur of the surroundings . The thing that let it down the most was the breakfast, we were a party of 14 celebrant nephews wedding, we all ordered and then waiting ages for any food to appear, when it did they had no idea who had ordered what and it was absolute chaos, my haddock was a least 5 minutes overcooked and my poached eggs were rock hard, most disappointing.

Worth the extra cost, a magical place.
Amazing hotel. You really feel special when you stay at the Grand in Eastbourne. Particular shout out to the front of house staff (concierge, porter, waiter at breakfast, waitresses at high tea) who went out of their way to look after us. The room was super comfortable, the bar and lounges are wonderfully elegant. Only watch out is that prices are not cheap, so if you are planning a few drinks in the bar, expect a 5* bill. Most important question, would we return? Without a hesitation, yes. Thank you to the staff at the hotel, my wife and I have added some wonderful memories as a result of your excellent work.

Maybe Grand by name but not so much in other places, our room was nice and a good size but needed a thorough clean, the walls had lots of dust and cobwebs on them, the facilities in the room did not quite match up to the hotels 5star rating, no iron or ironing board in the room, not enough plug sockets (one had a cheap white four plug extension cable connected to it), no mini bar, a fun sized TV and the bath and shower were very dated (shower curtain does not scream 5star to me) all in all a bit underwhelming. Indoor swimming pool was just ok and the jacuzzi jets were comical (definitely needs an upgrade). We stayed for two nights including breakfast, which on the first day was fantastic (full English) sadly let down by the second days efforts, all I asked for was 2 soft boiled eggs but when they arrived they were well over cooked, I asked for a replacement which was accommodated straight away but this time they massively undercooked the eggs (I know sometime you can get slightly runny whites if you have a soft boiled egg but these were still translucent) in the end I gave up as we had to pack for check out. The Grand Hotel is a lovely hotel and well worth a visit but the finer touches really need to be looked at in my opinion if they want to maintain a 5star facility and service.

This was first time staying at the grand hotel Eastbourne it was an amazing experience more than I was expecting the staff were very friendly,helpful & polite the hotel was very clean & food was amazing over all very good experience
