This place has a little bit of everything is perfect for a big families. Thereâs a lot of different things for everybody to do and the house is huge never felt crowded. Thereâs a little boat out by the pond in kayaks. Their horses were fine for the kids to see, and we also rented tritoon boat which was fun. My main complaint was that the phone number offered online is disconnected, which was a little concerning when I was trying to get a hold of the host to ask you a couple questions about check-in. Host was very slow at responding on the VRBO app but once we got in the house I found other phone numbers on the fridge that worked and communication got better after that.
The grounds were the nicest we've had in the 7 times we've had vacationing with entire extended family...3 generations. We played pickle ball in the mornings when it was cooler and spent the afternoons in the pool. Evenings were spent playing board games, pool and karaoke in the media room. A great time was had by all.
This property fit our large family very well. We enjoyed every last inch of it. We had one issue with the main house oven that was a challenge, but we made due. The property manager was responsive and did all she could to get it fixed while we were still there though. Air conditioning in the main house upstairs has a hard time fighting the heat so keeping all window coverings down and fans on during the day are key, especially if you need it cold in order to sleep well. But like the bugs, that's life in the South! The pool area is just beautiful and felt like a resort. The cabin was perfect and had zero issues. Highly recommend the house!
First of all Jordan was outstanding in communicating, meeting us and our wedding coordinator at the property to discuss suggestions for our wedding. The venue was the perfect property to allow our family's to gel and enjoy the weekend together prior to the wedding day. The wedding day was beautiful because the grounds alone created the magnificent, natural surroundings wth flowers and beautifl landscape. Overall, the Willett House is a 5 star venue for family reunions, corporate events and even intimate weddings. Thank you for allowing us to create amazing memories!
The original house we booked was changed on us due to construction. Second house (the one we stayed in) met our standards perfectly fine. We had a âbachelorâ party that was staying there and felt like that was used against us when neighbors complained even though there was no outside music. There were other threats the last night about music and extra people on the property but I somewhat expected this to happen with a large group of guys. Security came and checked everything out which they said all is good and laughed we werenât having more fun. If you want to use a âbachelorâ party against someone then you shouldnât let them come anyways. I said that from day one because I wanted to be up front. We kept the house VERY clean and were very respectable to everyone. The golf course is beautiful! Overall it was a great trip with a two hour period that was not the best time.
Overall, would definitely recommended!
The Estate was simply amazing! We slept 20 easy and had a great weekend! Didnât go anywhere else except for out on the lake in 2 pontoon boats which were provided right at the docks of the property. Property manager Jordan was easy to work with and also the front gate security staff was excellent! Will be back for sure!
Our family of 25 had a fantastic time at the Estate. We rented the Pontoon boat and enjoyed water skiing and tubing (those were rented at a local marina). The lake was not busy at all, and it felt like we were the only ones out there at times. The pool was beautiful, and the pavilion was great for taking a break from the hot sun. Grandpa fished at the pond and the lake twice a day with his grandkids, and lots of fish were caught, especially at the pond. There were daily battles for the top scores on the arcade games too. All in all, we had a wonderful week!
Overall, the week was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the spacious property and houseâs. For a group of 17 adults and 10 children, we never felt cramped. The lake was beautiful, and we definitely recommend bringing a boat or renting theirs. The only negative we had was that the pool was too warm. It was a very hot week and the pool stayed in the 90âs. It could definitely use a sun shade for those hot Georgia summer days. Communication with Jordan was great, and we will definitely rent this house again if we decide to stay in GA again!
We had our family reunion at this beautiful property. There was so much space and entertainment for all ages. The home and cabin are both spacious and tastefully decorated. The pool and pavilion provide the perfect place to hang out and the grounds, pond, porches, and fire pits offer a peaceful place to chill. This property does not disappoint!
Third time staying here. We had 21 people for a work retreat. It was perfect! Plenty of seating, and beds. The kitchen had everything we needed. Looking at bringing my extended family for a family retreat.
25 members of my family, including 8 little ones, came together for a week of fun and camaraderie. The Estate was perfect as we could be all together for our meals and Christmas morning stockings, and also have so many activities to share in smaller groups, such as kayaking and canoeing, pool, long walks in the woods, hot tubbing, theater performances, etc. We could also explore the lovely nearby countryside. It was fabulous.
Everything in the pictures is as described and we couldnât have had a better time. Only point of clarity is for fueling the boat after usage as we werenât sure where to fuel it up at so we defaulted to having them refuel it at a charge. Otherwise a perfect stay!
