Fish & Fun on the Lake

One of the best Stays on VRBO I've ever had-- Billie was Great! She greeted us from the dock (we were already fishing), and walked us up to her beautiful home.Billie then gave us a tour of the home, and let us know to contact her for anything we may need that was not already there. The space was comfortable, spotless and perfectly setup for the 3 nights we had reserved. She left all instructions from how to operate the tv & sound system, and everything else available to us. After making sure we were all set, she left us free to enjoy our stay.There was more than enough space for all 3 of us to relax and enjoy this Lovely home, when we weren't on the lake-- which was rare. The use of her private dock was beyond convenient! The beds were comfortable, and rooms were spacious. Hopefully next time we get to take advantage of the home a little bit more.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the best place at Lake Tanwax, and WILL definitely be back here again next year!Thanks Billie!!

Lakeside retreat

My two teenage kids and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this beautiful home for our summer family vacation. It was nothing short of perfect. Billie and Steve were beyond accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything to make this the most relaxing vacation possible (she even got us S'mores makings and Steve helped cut firewood so we could build a fire!). Truly a delightful experience. Cannot say enough great things. The lake was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed the sunsets, peaceful mornings and finding local waterfall hikes to explore.

Amazing

A destination worth the country drive! Billie is warm and welcoming. The property is stunning and perfect for a cozy couple or a small gathering. A deck with a view of lake activities is a great place to sip and morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. I’d say just like home but much better as every detail is in order! Wonderful, Peaceful Stay

The property was great and well-appointed with everything that you could need! The lake was picturesque and it is convenient to Mt. Ranier hiking. Billie, the host, was incredibly nice and very accommodating. Wish we could've stayed longer so that we could try out those kayaks. Definitely next time!

Great location and views!

Billie was great to work with and very accommodating. The place was spacious and extremely clean and had everything we needed. The location to Mount Rainier is perfect to get a blend of hiking and going into the park, and allowing for time to relax on the lake in between. Highly recommend!

Perfect spot for Dad & Sons getaway!

My husband took our sons (13, 10) to this lovely home to celebrate my son's birthday and have some "guy time". They had a blast. The property is clean and well stocked with everything you'd need. It was so convenient to have all the options of watercraft right there- kayaks, fishing boat and even a stand up paddle board. They used them all! Also had fun fishing right off the dock. Inside, the unit has everything you might need including a HUGE tv with surround sound speakers - the kids thought that was pretty awesome. The host is amazing and makes you feel right at home - lives upstairs so is there if you need her (and available via text) but also gives you space to enjoy the property yourself!

Pacific Northwest family getaway

Well Worth It

The property was impeccable and the view was magnificent but our stay was so comfortable and enjoyable because we were made to feel at home. Having the free use of the water equipment was a great plus. But without Billie and Steve as hosts and owners it would have been simply a nice get away.

Rock a bye baby

Went to visit my new Grandbaby. The house was a perfect visiting spot. Everything was very comfortable and host was very attentive. There appeared to be a lot of outside games and boating equipment but Unfortunetly it was a little to cold for us to take advantage. My only piece of travel advice. The entrance is on a hill lined with gravel if you have any mobility issues I'd check with the Host for any solutions.

Great lakeside getaway

This was the perfect escape for us as our first time venturing out since March. The area is nice and quiet. Billie was a great communicator and will do anything to make your stay even better. We were able to cook a bit, kayak for the first time and enjoy a nice fire too. The place was organized, clean, and comfortable. We would book again in a heartbeat - what a gem. Thanks again!

Best hosts ever

Tanwax lake is a nice little lake close to Puyallup in the greater Seattle area. Easy to get to! And not too small or too large a lake; perfect for using the kayaks that were available with the rental. And the owners were helpful with everything! We had a great time.

It Was Like Having Our Own Private Summer Camp

My wife and I rented this awesome place for a week to visit with our local family members and had them over to visit several times. If you’ve got children and teens, this is a great location thats almost like your own private summer camp. Billie and Steve provide everything you need to spend your days on the lake, including kayaks, a pedal boat, a trolling boat and more. Lots of games to play and a nice BBQ right out the door. To top it off, Billie is a great host - she’s there if you need anything, but savvy enough to make it feel like you have the place to yourself.

Our cruise was canceled so we booked a rental near Seattle so we could explore the city and the moun

We had an EXCELLENT experience with this rental, we will be back. We was very welcomed, given good information about the area, the binder in the house was extremely helpful with places to go and see and the surrounding areas. We felt like family, the granddaughters fell in love with Billie and Steve. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this rental for a nice getaway and vacation, very clean and well accommodated. It's in a very scenic area, and peaceful.

Fantastic staycation

Billie has been the best host! She met us as we were coming in and introduced herself and the property. The place was super clean and she had left cookies and muffins on the table. Much of our time was just relaxing and enjoying a break from home. We were able to have a day with friends kayaking and enjoying the property. Billie helped with taking pictures! She helped when we had forgotten a food item. This is a really wonderful, peaceful place to relax and enjoy a break. We have had a great time.

Lakeside Paradise

This was truly a little slice of heaven. The property was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Billie and Steven were incredible hosts and will actually be the reason we book again. We spent hours on the boat and kayaks, had a chance to relax and watch movies with the amazing surround sound, and just completely relax. If you are hesitant about booking just do it- you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing Experience

Billie is an amazing host! She greeted us at the door even though we were an hour late. She had the place immaculate and well prepared. It was a great time for my teenage kids and myself. Xbox, kayaks, paddle boards, and the dock! I can’t not say enough about this place! Then she surprised us with a couple treats too!! I will be coming back!!

The online listing did not prepare us for how beatyfuk this unit is. Billie is such a great host, going out of her way to make sure you have the best time that you can. I plan on revisiting. Kayaks were fun!

Perfect!

We needed a place to stay for our family reunion, and were happy to find some place close by. That didn’t prepare us for how wonderful this place is, and how thoughtful Billie is. The view is amazing, they have one of the few spots on the lake where there is not yet development across from them, just trees. When we first arrived, Billie came out to meet us and show us around the property- we had several extra family members with us that weren’t staying there, and she still managed to remember names. She had fresh baked cookies on the table, banana blueberry loaf, as well as slippers in a basket by the door and robes on the end of the master bed. She had set up an additional bed for our daughter, and let us keep an extra cousin with us that we hadn’t planned on. She has it decorated beautifully as well- I’m always a sucker for the beach/lake themes! We managed to take some great family pictures down on the dock- we were there in February, so we were very fortunate to have some clear skies! Billie even checked in with us to see if we needed anything from the store while she was out, because it is a distance to the closest store- she’s very thoughtful. My family will be sure to stay there again on our next family reunion- but we’re tempted to come back again during the summer to take advantage of the lake and kayaks, fire pit on the beach, etc! I can’t recommend this place highly enough. We wouldn’t have been able to stay there if she hadn’t kept it so affordable, so we hope she isn’t raising the price anytime soon!
