We booked a double queen via Expedia. We checked in, and when we got to the room, it was a king "suite" which was basically a long hotel room with a little sitting area/couch. We went back to the front desk and the guy there didn't apologize or anything, just told us they were sold out and we could talk to the manager the next morning. The couch was a pull-out which saved our stay, however once we pulled it out we realized it was never cleaned underneath.
The next morning the manager informed us that when you book through Expedia they reserve the right to put you in whatever room they want. We use Expedia all the time, including this entire 8 day trip which this was the last night of, and have never had this issue before. Moreover, she once again didn't apologize and instead was intent on "proving" that this was their policy. Didn't offer to comp us even so much as extra points much less money.
Beyond that the room was OK, but breakfast had issues: 2 of the 3 juices were out (attendant apologized and said they would be there the next day, of course that wouldn't help us) and at most of the cereals were out as well as the muffin/bagel station was just bread.
