This property exceeded my expectations. The kids really enjoyed the indoor pool and fishing pond inside the community. The owners seemed to really care that we had a good time and even gave us recommendations on things to do before we arrived. We will definitely be staying here again.

Pleasant stay

It was a beautiful place. The photos look as if it was bigger than it actually was, but it still was a great experience and time. We really enjoyed our stay. It was 10 of us and we were very comfortable. Check in and check out was made simple. It had all we ever needed. The gift basket was very thoughtful, although we didn’t have the experience of using the s’mores because of the rain. AWESOME TIME!

Beautiful cabin!!

This cabin gives off modern flare meets nature ,it was very clean the host was very accommodating to our needs, originally I was scheduled to come for my husband’s birthday weekend but due to the snow storm we had I had to ask if we can reschedule and he did that for us. We just made the rescheduled trip into a family getaway we made lots of homemade pizza, you will not be disappointed, I will definitely be back.

Thanksgiving visit was a great success!

This luxury cabin was fantastic for our small family gathering! Quality construction and finishings, well furnished, clean. Enjoyed cooking together, the fire pit out front, hot tub in the back, puzzles on the table at night, and watching ballgames around the living space. Location is fairly nice with the Dollar General very close for basics and everything else we could imagine not too far down the highway. The moderate drive to apple and cider stores were a nice daytime eacape. We had five adults. Might be a tight fit for more, but was spacious enough for us. Driveway has some grade to it, but nothing a bit of accelerator can’t handle. Would certainly stay again and recommend it to others!

Perfect fall getaway!!

One of the most enjoyable stays in a beautiful mountain cabin for a fall weekend getaway! I love how attentive & hospitable the host is, it made a world of difference just checking in to see if there’s anything else we needed. Extremely clean, comfortable, cozy cabin with modern appliances. We truly enjoyed the fireplace, fire pit, and the hot tub! Can’t speak highly enough of this wonderful cabin & would love to return next fall!!

Fall Break/Son’s Proposal

Communication with the owner was top notch! The cabin is perfect! Beautiful interior design and great floor plan! We cooked a lot while there and it had everything we needed. We had s’mores at the fire pit and ended the evenings in the hot tub. Welcome basket was a nice surprise. We would love to come back! My son proposed by the fire pit! Also loved the secure entrance to the resort.

Best VRBO we have ever stayed in!

By far this was the best rental experience we have had, and we travel multiple times a year for weeks at a time. Every detail was thought out and Darren & Darla were so easy to communicate with. The house was so clean and welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped, there were plenty of extra pillows, blankets, towels, this was literally the first time we stayed somewhere that we didn't need a thing. Honestly the printer was out of ink and they were so kind to have some delivered!! Just AMAZING, I normally don't write reviews but this one is worth it! If you are second guessing, don't! You won't regret staying in this beautiful home!

Vineyard Wedding

Our family met up in Georgia for our daughter's wedding at Canoe vineyard. We live in France and needed to organize accommodation near the vineyard for us and our family from Canada. As we live outside the country, we were worried that it would be difficult to find a suitable place. The house was perfect, clean, and exactly what we needed. The house is fully equipped with everything one would need for a vacation. The owner has provided games, and activites for guests. The free passes to the activity center gives you the opportunity to have access to the pool, mini golf and pickle ball courts. Our family took advantage and went mini golfing. The hottub was greatly appreciated at the end of the day. We had a very pleasurable stay and the communication with the owners was outstanding. Highly recommend

Clean, Well Stocked, Peaceful, and Beautiful Home

This home was a lovely place to spend our vacation. We enjoyed relaxing on the peaceful back porch, soaking in the hot tub, cooking in the well stocked kitchen, playing board games provided, walking through the woods, and visiting towns nearby. It was very clean and well appointed. Our family of seven fit beautifully in the bedrooms and game room/futon space. (I was thankful we did not bring additional guests as that would have required some to sleep on a pull out sofa in the middle of the living room.) We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone seeking a home away from home in the Eliijay/Blue Ridge area.

Our Visit Review

Overall we really enjoyed our visit. We were up from Florida to have some grandson time. Below are my thoughts regarding our visit. Cabin/House The cabin was very clean and equipped for all our needs. It was smaller than the pictures depicted but was comfortable for the three of us. The master bedroom was very large and the bathroom likewise. The house has two washer/dryers one set in the master bathroom and the second set downstairs. The kitchen was small but workable. The living room was small with a gas fireplace. The living room could have used a recliner or ottomans for the couches. The outside front deck was large but only had outdoor furniture on one end. The downstairs had bunk beds, guest bedroom, game room, bathroom, and washer/dryer. The game room had an arcade game with over 400+ games. Caution Parents…some of the games I would consider Adults Only. Neighborhood/Community This community is very large with curvy and steep roads. The roads are maintained well but driving on snow or ice would be tricky. As for the amenities, we were very disappointed. The game room games were older and required quarters and considered by my 10 yr old grandson as lame. The indoor pool was nice but busy. The outdoor golf has not been well maintained and had broken signs and tears on the greens. The worst part the amenities were 8 miles from the house…exiting and entering the community. Our Hosts were very responsive and eager to assure our visit was pleasant

Perfect location, close enough to stores, main roads but quiet and full of wildlife

Had a wonderful stay, easy to get to, main roads were paved, quiet and private surroundings, Firepit and hot tub were great extras. All bedrooms were comfortable and roomy. Love the cozy robes.

Cozy and beautiful cabin

The cabin is gorgeous and the place is amazing. I was just expecting the house to be a little further from the road, with a trail to walk on. The jacuzzi was wonderful, the house very well equipped. I would definitely go back with a smaller group of people.10 was a little too much.

Awesome Family Cabin

Annual Girls Getaway

The cabin was absolutely wonderful. So very cozy and inviting. Darren and Darla have thought of everything to make for the perfect getaway. The cabin is beautifully decorated, clean, the mattresses were very comfortable & the kitchen was completely stocked. We didn't leave the cabin our entire stay. So, we cooked our meals and had everything that we needed. It was amazing! The communication was perfect and timely. The welcome basket was a very nice touch. We would highly recommend the Misty Mountain Hop Hideaway. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful weekend getaway

Friends and I came up for a weekend in October. Darren and Darla were very communicative prior to our stay. They provided very detailed and clear instructions regarding the check in and check out procedures for the property, along with local amenities. The property itself was very nice, well kept, and comfortably accommodated our group of 7. One of our guests left an item and they promptly shipped it to us. Overall a fantastic, accommodating, and hospitable experience.

Beautiful and clean home

The driveway is a little steep but it levels out nicely at the top. The house was very clean. We enjoyed the arcade game. The leaves were beautiful!
