« Initially was a bit surprised by the unpaved dirt roads getting there, but couldn’t have been happier settling in. The home is very remote and quiet. It’s a bit of a drive into town, but totally worth it! We didn’t want to leave much anyway.The location was easy to find with Google maps (even late at night) and the check-in process was straightforward. The space was neat, clean and organized. « Everything about our stay was wonderful! We loved the location of the cabin, and it was the perfect size for our family. The board games were such a thoughtful touch and made the cabin feel even cozier. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was communicative and easy to reach throughout our trip. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for a great experience! »

« This place was so nice and cozy, i would say better than the pictures even. Fireplaces upstairs and downstairs were a hit, and it was super quiet at nice. A great place to get away and rest. We even extended our stay and had them deliver more firewood it was so nice. I would gladly return, or at least see what else Cool Cabins has to offer. Close to the lake and shops nearby, but away from traffic and backs onto the forest. Whats not to like? »

« The place was very nice. It is basically a tiny home, but it has everything you need to be comfortable. The place was really neat and clean and it looks like it was very recently constructed, but the construction quality was outstanding. The property was quiet and it is situated within walking distance of restaurants and coffee. I really loved the place-so much in fact that I almost wish I lived there. It was really terrific-one of the best and most interesting places I have ever stayed »

« When we first arrived, there was horse crap all over the driveway. The people across the street were playing their music so loud at night, it felt like we were at a nightclub. It was cold and the heater wasn't working. The little space heater there was also broken. The bed creaked every time you move. The garbage disposal wasn't working. Then the power went out. The host was very good at communicating which was a good thing. We only stayed 1 night out of the 3 and were only refunded for 1 night....

« It was good, but there were definitely some bad impressions. Once we booked via Expedia, we were sent a link to a lengthy check-in contract. We learned upon arrival that we were required to take out the trash, and the drop-off location is 15 minutes from the property! That's ridiculous. We have been to Big Bear many times and have stayed at various vacation rentals; we have never been required to take out our own trash. For the price and all the caveats, I am not sure I can recommend. »

« My son and I just wanted a night away - to spend time together and to check out the stars and planets with his new telescope. Hartsville did NOT disappoint! We had so much fun and literally ran out of time with all the great things in store. I felt like I was zapped back in time to the 1970's (or further!). The location was easy to find, safe to park and gain access, and from the get-go we simply enjoyed ourselves. We played pool - 8-ball and 9-ball, sifted through and played the many LP's...

« It was very clean! Full fridge, heating/AC was very easy to navigate. They provided soap and a sample of shampoo and conditioner. I wouldn’t say these were negatives just more annoyances that’s why I still give them 5 stars - the handle for the shower kept slipping off so it was hard to maneuver the hot and cold and turning on and off, the shower liner was rusted and stained and the shower head was built up with timescale so the water pressure was low. The TV remote in bedroom didn’t work, so...

« This is our second time staying here. We loved our stay. The place is clean and comfortable. The property is beautiful. Perfect for watching sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing. Completely fenced in yard made it easy to bring our dog. WiFi, AC, and kitchen were great. »
