When you see several pages of the guest book ripped out, its a sign of things to come.
Over $600 per night gets you a broken dishwasher, ( 3 people looked at it, but not one able to fix it). No washcloths, one mornings worth of coffee, a few pods for the washer, windows that say do not open when the thermostat is showing 27 and its 30 degrees during the day.
Mold in the washing machine, musty smelling furniture. A filthy BBQ we didn't use. So basically we ate out instead of cooking, making it even more $$ to stay there. Crushed ice from the fridge spews all over the place, and careful opening the microwave, I got a nasty gash on my cheek from the corner of the door which swings way out past the counter-top.
Whoever owns the place is greedy. If you're not going to put money into maintaining it, you should be embarrassed to charge what you do.
As for the management company? One word, useless.
We booked this last minute because the other property we had originally booked, also managed by the same company, had a broken hot tub. Taking someone's money, then after the fact telling you there's a problem is underhanded, and unprofessional. They were slow to respond, and used the "its a small town" excuse to shirk their responsibilities. There is no excuse for a management company to not have competant staff to make repairs. Also when staff is coming in, you notify the tenants, they don't just show up.
Just an all around awful experience.
