  • Salty Sanctuary is one of Folly's Best! This 4 bedroom, 3 bath condo is located directly on the beach and can accommodate up to 8 people! It has a well-equipped kitchen and spacious living room with an attached private balcony. The master bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite bathroom. You can enjoy the ocean with unobstructed views and balcony access at your bedside! The second bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, cable TV, and en-suite bathroom as well. The third and fourth bedrooms provide a king and queen bed, and share an attached jack-n-jill bathroom with a shower. Private parking for 2 vehicles are included with this rental as well as a full-size washer and dryer. As an added bonus, there are also two pools on-site (open April - Oct) at this complex, a rare commodity for Folly!

    An elevator is available for this complex. While we manage this property, we do not manage the maintenance of this building, which includes the elevator. The presence of an elevator does not indicate that the home is ADA compliant. This regime does not allow vehicles other than cars on the premises, this includes golf carts, trailers, motorcycles etc.

Code for the gate needs to be communicated before arrival. When we arrived we couldn't get in the gate to park. Someone else staying there had to open the gate for us.

The pictures represented the rooms perfectly. Great place with a wonderful view. We all loved it and had plenty of space. Used the pool often as well. It was a great trip with my family!

Great Choice

We were debating whether to stay in Charleston or at the beach. We are all glad we chose this property. This property has excellent ocean views and beach access. It is also within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and bars. It was also very easy to drive into Charleston when we wanted. The unit was clean and the host provided most everything we needed for our stay.

Great condo in a super location

We really enjoyed the Salty Sanctuary; very nice condo, appropriately appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, big showers. We hadn't been to Folly Beach before but really loved it, great waves (very popular surfing spot), so boogie boarding was awesome. Super close to all of the restaurants and the pier, so you could walk everywhere. The only drawback is the current renovations made one of the two elevators inoperable, so getting the elevator could sometimes take too long (we were given a heads up about this though, so we knew what we were in for). Other than that, great stay and we'd definitely do it again.

Family vacation

Great property. It was very clean. Accurate representation. Loved they fact that it was right on the beach. The balcony overlooking the beach was our favorite place to sit. Property also had an elevator which was helpful for a family member with mobility issues. Kitchen was fairly well stocked. We cooked two pretty easy dinners during our stay. Would definitely rent this place again.

Overall I was pleased. There was some dirty dishes in the cabinets. Glasses had lipstick on them and one had some sort of residue in it.

May 11-18 at Salty Sanctuary

A great week at Folly. The only recommendation is to heat the pool in May because the water was cold. One of the 2 pool fobs did not work to unlock the pool gate. The property management company took care of this with a phone call and a photo of the fob number. We were pleased with the efficient response and resolution.

Great beach location

The property was exactly what I'd been looking for for my relaxing family beach vacation with my college and middle school children. The condo was clean and faced the beach as described. The large, deep balcony allowed us to sit outside even during mild rain the first night. The shower in the main suite was larger than expected. My college son even said it was a great unit and location, if it hadn't been for the hurricane. Mother Nature ruined our plans, but it was no fault of the host. We would love to visit again someday when we can explore the area and enjoy the beach. We only had a small window to travel this summer. My husband and I hadn't been to a beach since just before his deployment in 2008. My sons had neven been to one. Due to the change in the hurricane's path and historic flooding forecasted, we left early to ensure we'd make it home in time.
