« We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Plenty of room for our two families. The highlight of our trip was our time spent in their backyard. It is huge, we basically had our own snow park. We built our own snowball battle field and sledding track. The property was not too far from Soda Springs Ski resort and Sugar Bowl. « Beautiful property and wonderful host. Close property was well maintained and provided beautiful areas for lounging and picnicking. Plenty of room beyond that for exploring and hiking. The host was gracious and spent some time talking to us, however was not invasive at all and afforded us plenty time to ourselves. Really enjoyed the animals and meeting the desert tortoise. 100% will stay again in the future. »

« Overall wonderful. Great location with some traffic noise from the freeway across the yard. Some foot traffic noise above us upstairs. Maybe slippers are in order to reduce the noise. Both times we stayed here the bathroom tub has a very slow drain. This time, the towels were rough, just in from hanging outdoors. Soft and cushy is best. We love the lighting in the yard and fairy light projection touch! »

« We chose this property in large part for the location off the beaten path but within easy striking distance of the Folsom area. It provided exactly the peace and quiet we had hoped, and that made our down time and sleeping much better than somewhere busier. « The check in process could have been better. Had to contact the host twice to get check-in instructions. Finally got them just hours before check in time. Other than that, place was great. »

« This house was great! Nicely furnished, warm, cozy, but big and spacious too, with basically two living rooms, each with a fire place. Plenty of room, fantastic kitchen, wish we had had more time to cook some lovely meals. Easy to get to and locate, still close enough to Nevada City, but felt like we were secluded even though on a neighborhood road. House had everything we needed and was peaceful. Amazing home and we would choose this house to stay again next time we are in the area for sure! »

« Inside the house, things were fine. No complaints other than the drapes in front room, and dining area had over a foot of material resting on the floor, easily covering up heating vents - health/fire hazard? Outside the house, the yard is in total disrepair. Steep porch steps with no rail - another health risk for elderly people like us. Nice community. Nice house. Just needs better care. »

« Booked this place with my teenage daughter. We were staying in the area for Holo Holo Cali, a music festival held at the Toyota Amphitheater. This was an great place to stay! Close to where we needed to be for our show along with plenty in the area in the way of shopping. The home is beautiful, very clean & comfortable. The pool was the main attraction, hands down. We can not wait to return for another stay. »

« We stayed here in December and fell in love so scheduled a trip to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend! We had a great time and enjoyed lounging on the patio. The only thing to note is the kitchen is pretty empty - no staples and not a lot of basic kitchen items - no biggie, just something to keep in mind if you’re planning on cooking, like we were. »

« We we're all thoroughly impressed and didn't want to leave! :-p The pictures truly don't do this rental justice. The kitchen island/gas stove range made preparing family dinners extra special, as we could sit around the island, chat, and help each other without overcrowding the "chef" in charge. Plenty of pots, pans, and there's even a crockpot! The kitchen sink looks out onto the deck with a calming, serene view. All of the deco, furniture, lighting, shades, ceiling fan, lights are modern...

« The door was not locked when we arrived. There was no instruction how to lock the door when you go for a walk. It would have been better if the cabin was not so close to the main drag. »

« We had a family reunion with 21 people stay at Forest Cottage. There was plenty of space, our children ages 1-11 loved the “park” as they called it, which was the large, completely fenced play area out front which we could watch them play from the front deck or from the many windows in the house. The kitchen is very well equipped with many pots and pans, dishes, etc. There is a big closet with lots of family games. Plenty of bedding and towels are provided, as well as hand soap, TP, and paper...
