A Hidden Sanctuary in the Heart of Fort Lauderdale

I had the most incredible stay at this property! It truly felt like a peaceful sanctuary—spacious, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by nature. The enormous pool, serene lake views, and the sounds of birds in the morning made it feel like a private resort tucked away in the heart of Fort Lauderdale.The home itself had everything I could possibly need, and then some—from a fully equipped kitchen to a fun gaming room and a cozy barbecue area perfect for unwinding. No hotel could compare to the comfort, beauty, and warmth of this place.And Valentina, our host, was absolutely wonderful—thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. You can feel how much care she puts into this space. I’m already dreaming about my next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway close to everything!

We loved our stay in this very comfortable home, and we also loved the surrounding yard , pool, and the wonderful wildlife on the property! We would definitely like to return! Valentina was very responsive and helpful , and we had everything we needed!

It's really unique place. Loved it!

We stayed here a month ago with friends just for a night before our cruise and we loved that place. The cruise was over and we were still talking about that magical place. After returning to work we decided to book that house again. My wife and I wanted to feel this atmosphere again in this pretty and relaxing place. The houses themselves are old, but that is what makes them different from all other houses we've been to in the area. They are all the same..small backyards and pools, same furniture in most of them. Everything here in the kitchen was brand new, I counted at least 5 different coffee makers. The beds are very comfortable, with new sheets and towels. Even Valentina was supplied with toothbrushes, razors, and all types of shampoos. We enjoyed the wine and the Italian chocolates. Here the property is huge, the lake is sooo cool. We enjoyed feeding every morning the turtles in the lake and all those ducks around the property. In the pool, we were able to swim, which was not possible in the other pools where we stayed before. New wood bridges ...We biked around, the restaurants are so close. The beach was only 10 min driving. Las Olas Blvd, not more than 9-10 minutes. Great for couples gateway. It is also perfect for bigger parties, but there is a noise ordinance, so we have to follow the rules. no parties and loud music.

Little Slice of Paradise

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this gorgeous, very private property. We felt very welcome by the amazing owner, Valentina, who even before we rented, answered all our questions in a very timely manner. My friend and I wanted to give our daughters who have been best friends since kindergarten an amazing senior spring break trip, and they got just that from the moment we drove through the front gate. The property was gorgeous in every direction you would look with bridges over water and ducks and turtles to greet us every morning which we were entrusted to feed. We had morning coffee in the gazebo with a priceless view and about a 10-15 min commute to the big beach for the girls during the day or nightlife later in the evening. House was extremely clean and well stocked. Large smart TVs and the most amazing private pool. I had broken my ankle right before the trip so all of the steps were a bit of a challenge for me. House was beautifully decorated for Spring. I mentioned in an email that our girls both had birthdays and Valentina actually had the sweetest birthday surprise for both girls. The attention to details is what really made this place special for us. Would highly recommend staying here and we, as a group, would love to return and stay on the same property. Thank you, Valentina, for making this trip as special for our girls (and us moms) and it was with this incredible place to call home for such a fun week!

Lovely, quiet, fun!

Beautiful site. LOVED the pool. Amenities & games were a major plus-darts, bag toss, bikes, pool volleyball net/floats, washer/dryer, toiletries, big TVs. Outdoor seating areas all very clean to sit and enjoy. Indoors was immaculate, hardwood floors, marble tile, BIG kitchen, master bathroom was divine! Individual A/C units kept temp cool. We loved getting to feed the ducks and turtles every day. Very unique property, so large and private. Easy driving distance to beach/shopping areas.

Unique Property

This is a great property with lots of outdoor space and a very large pool. This property is for nature lovers as there are turtles, ducks and fish to feed each day. There are many outdoor seating options, which makes this property a real gem if you want to be outdoors. The house is older and has lots of character. It's very comfortable with plenty of seating for dining, playing games, etc. This is a quiet area with noise ordinance after 10:00 PM, so you need to be respectful of that and can't be loud outside after that time. We really enjoyed our stay here and the host Valentina, was a pleasure to work with. Very easy to reach her via text or through the VRBO message center. She is responsive and very helpful. She greeted me and my family with a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates on each bed! She clearly cares about her property and had it all decorated for Easter. We would definitely stay again and I highly recommend for those that want a unique outdoor experience while being right in the city and close to restaurants, shopping, etc. Great place!

Couples get away

Beautiful property so much land to explore. Valentina was more than accommodating for our trip. Left us valentine chocolates and flowers what a special touch. Home was very clean which is most important to me. They are in process of updating and once completed will likely cost twice as much. We enjoyed the pool area and so private with all the trees and nature around would never guess you were in the city. Close enough to go to beach area 15min drive. Can even register for yoga on the beach.

Funky quiet

We would rather stay at this spacious and private property than a sterile hotel or a condo and we are anxious to go back again. We specially enjoyed the outdoor areas of the property, including the duck and turtle pond. Overall, the experience is positive. The hosts were attentive to our needs. The property, however, is still a work in progress in some ways. It would be nice if the pool were always heated without having to pay extra for it.

A little piece of tropical heaven.

Me and my girlfriend and our four-legged Fuzzy friend stayed here for several days and we truly were at peace with nature with the animals the ducks the turtles just a beautiful place and even more beautiful house I cannot think Valentina and her husband enough what a wonderful place I highly recommend it.

This place is absolutely beautiful... the feel gave me a 1940s vibe..Joe and Lunda were the best!

LOVED this place and never wanted to leave.. Loved everything about it.. felt comfortable and in my element. Joe and Linda are the nicest and were willing to accommodate us when we weren't able to get there on time... hoping to go back in September.

The best getaway ever!!! The property is so peaceful, attractive. The host are so kind. The area is so calm too, you can walk to go to the bars or restaurant if you want. I have to come back, for a week this time.

A treat to the mind and spirit

Hard to describe, and impossible to duplicate. This property is just as pictured, in an absolutely bucolic, healing setting. Linda and Joe are warm and friendly, and clearly love the place, as did we. Anything we needed was there, and we were made to feel welcomed and valued, even though we barely emerged from our little nest each day. Had we had more time we would have explored the property and the nearby village of Wilton Manors. It took the full 4 days to peel back the fatigue of the tax deadlines from which we have just emerged. Next time, God willing. Great private cottage on owners property. Amazing pool and hot tub. Very quirky kind of like staying at your grandma’s house! Lots of antiques and 70s decor. Very private and quiet.

Unique and tranquil locale

Joe and Linda are great hosts. the property is a small, tropical, festive wonderland. the pool is BIG and I had it all to myself every day. the property is a tropical, wooded wonderland which blocks out the outside world, almost as if you are away from civilization. the 2 old canine gentlemen that roam the property are quite a treat and even got in the pool with me for a short time. the guest house if perfect. easy come and go. lovely whimsical touches all throughout the property. you have to see it to understand, really. spent 1 morning at the beach, (about 4 miles away) but honestly staying on property and at the pool and roaming around was more than enough to entertain me for the day. can't say enough about this property and it's hosts. have never stayed anywhere quite like it, and hope to return asap.
