Regarding the price, you clearly have not researched any of the choices in our area, otherwise you would not have made the comment about price. We are extremely good value for money in the Highlands and I suggest that you do better research before booking your accommodation in future. The room is also very well sound insulated. You need to book a separate house if you want 100% quiet! The room is very spacious, well equipped and has easy access - most people love this room. There are two walk-to pubs/restaurants near-by. To be able to use them, you must arrive early enough for them to be open. Kind Regards

Dear Cristina, many thanks for your lovely review and for staying with us. Halina is lovely and we pride ourselves on our facilities, cleanliness and customer service. Most of our rooms have radiators, which have thermostats that can be turned from 1 (low) to 5 (hot). Our Superior rooms have underfloor heating, which means that rooms are generally around 20C. For cooling, all our rooms have great midge screens on the windows, so that you can open windows knowing that midges are not going to get into your room! When you don't know how something works, just come to the Reception and we'll pleased to help you. That goes for tourist information as well. Dear Guest, yes, we are a hostel and the perfect place to stay for anyone who appreciates a great place to stay for great value for money, in the lovely West Highlands of Scotland. We are graded 5 Star by VisitScotland. You should read what accommodation providers write about their properties before you book as it is generally very accurate. The room is not noisy and the mattresses are only a year old, with toppers, to add extra comfort to your sleep. The bathroom door is completely opaque, to aid your privacy. Instead of booking using price as your only criteria, I encourage you to consider what you actually want - then you will be in for a shock as you will have to adjust your budget significantly.

The sloped ceiling in your room is typical of the building code in the area (although a lot of your room is full height, with great views towards the loch) and our guests are normally very quiet. It is strange, because you stayed with us for 3 nights (3 weeks ago) and never once mentioned this. There's not much chance of us helping out with the noise if you don't tell us at the time.

Dear Catherine, thank-you for staying with us. The slanted ceiling is standard in the Highlands and the low part is over the bed. Where you move around the room (which is well proportioned) the room is full height. The room had three single beds in it & is a good size, with a generous ensuite shower room. When you consider all the other spaces that you get (and didn't mention) such as great lounge, kitchens, dining rooms, drying rooms, not to mention the great outdoor areas, we believe that staying at the Corran Bunkhouse is fantastic value for money.

Dear Guillaume, thank-you for your review! The noise that you referred to was due to a family arriving late (around 10:30pm), in the room above the one that you stayed in.
