This place is fantastic ! At least for us, it was the perfect halt on our tour from volcanos to pacific coast. We stayed a night and loved it. The standard bungalows are very clean, white, and exceptionnal if you think that you are lost in the forest in the middle of nowhere. The best internet signal I ever had. The staff is very nice. The hotel has 3 pools with a pool bar where you can get excellent cocktails. The river also offers you several natural pools, very warm. Amazing. And you can walk, many trails are available! This place is a gem. Coming to some complains I read before booking: yes the road is bumpy but that is on a short part and itâs the case almost everywhere in the country so not an issue at all. As for the restaurant, we cannot say that dinner was the best we had (we are vegetarian), but breakfast was excellent and the view you get from the restaurant is fantastic. They also have good wines. Room rate is reasonable. I do not get how the owner can make a profit out of this place. Little number of rooms, lots of staff and food and beverages are more than reasonably price. They do not take advantage on the fact that there is no other place close to the hotel to eat or drink (16$ for two cocktails in the pool).
We were there during dry season (March). 100% recommended.
Best hotel we visit in costa rica. Staff is awesome, bungalows are pristine and site is just perfect. Food can't be better. Taste their iced coffee at breakfast it's really worth it !
The canyon adventure is a blast and hiking trail nearby are great (need better signage but still pretty easy so you don't get lost).
Everything we experienced at Rio Perdido was excellent. The accommodations, staff, meals, activities and service could not have been better. Will plan another trip there in the future.
