« Cool place, nice atmosphere short walk to the center of Highlands reasonably priced comfortable rooms and quiet »

« We really enjoyed our stay. The location in reference to downtown was great. You are about 3 miles from downtown Highlands. The cottage was clean and well equipped for us. If you’re lucky, you may see wildlife like we did. A deer showed up one early evening and we were visited by 2 rabbits just about every day late afternoon. The only negative was that the mattress is super firm. So just be mindful of that if important to you. Overall, the stay was great, and we would highly recommend. Dana the...

« What a great spot on the lake! We- and our two dogs- were in town while working on a construction project and this was the perfect spot for us. We all loved jumping in the lake at the end of our warm and dusty days- catching the sunset from the dock and the porch- and then waking up to the most glorious lake mornings. Clean, comfortable and convenient- and well-priced for the offering. Very easy communication with the owner. The dock must offer the absolute best view of the July 4th fireworks! »

« We arrived and had issues with the lock. It took maybe 20 minutes for our hosts to arrive and take care of the problem with friendly smiles and assurances we could contact them again should we need. The Everett suite is pristine and just lovely. And it’s just a short walk for local shops. Perfect setting on the balcony watching people, cars, and trains go by! I’m so thankful we booked this suite! Barbara from Nashville. »

Throughout the day, we enjoyed hearing the laughter and excitement of the rafters passing by, and it was equally enjoyable to sit in the chairs and watch fly fishermen cast their lines. The rental is located within a small gated area that feels private and secluded, even though the road is just beyond the tree line....

« The Treehouse Suite at The Calhoun House is a great property. This particular suite is located in a separate building from the other suites, which was ideal for us, as we had our baby and toddler with us. We did not worry about disturbing other guests if he cried or was a little loud. Edward was amazing as we checked in. He had some food essentials in the refrigerator and had some scrumptious treats from the local bakery. The suite was well stocked with toiletries and kitchen supplies and was...
