The host went above and beyond—even providing seasonal paper goods, which was such a sweet surprise.The house itself was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly well-stocked with everything we could possibly need. The home was very well stocked, and clean. The only problem we had was the propane fireplace would not start, and the hot tub kept kicking the circuit off. Luckily my husband is an electrician, and kept the hot tib running. We had 8 adults and the space was really great. You might also mention that its best to have an AWD car to get up the driveway in your listing. All in all it was a great place and we loved it

We absolutely LOVED this place. Secluded but close to town. Huge! Plenty of room for all 16 of our party! They had everything you could ever need to help it feel just like home! Plenty of hot water and great water pressure in every shower which was a must in feels like 14F weather! We all LOVED the hot tub. House was just beautiful inside and out. So thankful to have found this gem. Would love to come back for years to come! Kids loved the fuse ball table :) played cards all night and always had someone roasting by the fireplace! 10/10 would recommend 3

2024 Family get together 16 people

Huge cabin, beautiful in a wonderful location. Have never had a cabin as equipped as this one. It even included the laundry detergent we would need when using the washer. We have children(6) and 8 grandchildren who live in 3 different states. They all got to know their cousins and Aunts and Uncles for the 4 nights we were there. Castle Ladyhawke wedding

If you are looking for a family friendly home away from home this will fill the bill. We were a family of 13 with a small dog and could not be happier with our selection of this cabin. It was a little further from the venue we were attending but well worth the drive. The Beswick’s had everything that you could ever need for entertaining 4 year old kids to 75 year old grandparents. We will be booking again for a vacation next year.

Lots of room for our large family

I would definitely stay here again. There was lots of room for all 15 of us. The wrap-around deck was wonderful. The hot tub was used every night. Not too far from Franklin where there were lots of cute shops and good restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked with all sorts of pots, pans, dishes, plenty of silverware, etc. I highly recommend.

Wonderful vacation

This house was perfect for our extended family. It had everything we needed and more. If you enjoy cooking together, the kitchen is roomy and well equipped. Each couple took a night and cooked for the whole group. Besides taking in and enjoying the beautiful view from the living room and porch, there are plenty of other things to do both inside and outside. It was the perfect getaway and we plan to return next year.

Everything you could need

This cabin was large enough for my husband and I, all our kids and our grandkids (9 adults and 2 children). The kitchen truly has enough dishes, pots and pans and cooking utensils you could possibly need. The view from the balcony is absolutely gorgeous! We rented a pontoon boat one day and went out boating and tubing on Lake Chatuge. We also went mining for gems, shopping in downtown Franklin and of course went to the Lazy Hiker. We all had a great time.

We absolutely loved this home. We had 12 adults and 2 children. Everyone was comfortable and not crowded. The pool table and foos ball were a great hit. The drive was winding and beautiful. We were able to enjoy downtown Franklin, Highlands, Glenville Lake, the national forest, thrifting all from our awesome home base.

Fantastic property that is well stocked

We had a fantastic time at this house. We were in the area for graduation at WCU (about a 30 minute drive). Communications with the property owner was fantastic. It's listed as 6-bedroom home, but there are only 5 bedrooms. (three bedrooms on the main floor and two in the basement) There are TWO open loft areas with three beds, and couches in the basement. If you are counting "rooms", it's five. We have rented 8 homes through VRBO in the last 5 years. This one is the most well-stocked house we have ever stayed in. They have everything, but a well-working can opener! The coffee bar was a hit with our guests. Hot tub, grill, fire pit, all wonderful. They provided firewood which was really helpful. A porch swing would be a great addition. My only complaint is that temperatures are hard to regulate in the three stories. The basement was always cold even after closing all of the vents. The loft area was obviously a lot warmer, but fans are provided. The property looks into a mountain instead of on top of a mountain. The view is very nice. There are a couple of homes close-by than you can hear others, but it's pretty secluded. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay and we would definitely rent this house again. Do not hesitate to rent this home!!!

We used the house as a base for 6 couples to ride motorcycles in the mountains. Truly a gorgeous place. The wifi is pretty decent actually as long as it isn't storming. Verizon and USCellular had no reception up there, but AT&T reportedly works pretty decent up there. The only thing I can saw that was not ideal was the last little bit once you turn onto the last short rode leading to the driveway. It is rock and pretty tricky on heavy street bikes, but not a challenge for car or truck.

Excellent Excellent property!!!! I can't say enough good things a out this AMAZING house. Great location close to Franklin. Well furnished with everything you need to stay. We spent a week here with 9 adults and 6 kids. Plenty of room! Kitchen was well stocked with every pot, pan, dish and utensil you could need. Pool table, Foosball, corn hole, hot tub. Favorite mountain home!

Our family has had the joy of staying at this amazing home twice and both times were fantastic! There’s plenty of room to spread out while feeling cozy and welcoming at the same time. The location is perfect for quick drives to hiking trails and quaint, downtown Franklin. We also enjoyed staying home and playing outdoor games in the large backyard. Our grandchildren especially loved the hot tub!

Beautiful!

The pictures really don’t do this place justice. This house is beautiful and spacious! We had a wonderful time! We had eight people and honestly could have fit a ton more. This place is PERFECT for your little fur friends. They allowed our three dogs to come and it was perfect with the big yard and wrap around porch that had gates so we could keep an easy eye on everyone. The entire house was stocked (spices, laundry detergent, etc). We highly recommend and would love to return!
