Musik Haus is a quaint centrally located getaway in Fredericksburg. It has old farm house antique charm and it’s nicely stocked. The owners are very responsive and accommodating.Note- My stay included my two small pups and the property posting indicates it’s dog friendly and allows up to two small dogs (no more than 20lbs each at a significant fee). However, the property isn’t dog friendly. The backyard gate doesn’t lock and there are crevices around the perimeter of the gate which small dogs can easily use to escape onto a fairly significant trafficked street. There are also some nasty burrs in the backyard which are dangerous for dogs. The burrs are everywhere indoors too (if you spend anytime in the backyard). If it’s just adults, then this is a great little getaway spot in Fredericksburg. PS the house is near an animal hospital so flies are abundant (even if you keep doors closed at all times)

Everything was great. They were very helpful. We had a little problem with the internet and they came immediately and fixed it.If they operate in the gray, sometimes the alpha may cut and now the way I see it

Historic Texas

We enjoyed the home. It was thoughtfully decorated with Texas flair. We enjoyed having 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each room had a theme. The walls od the dining room had old sheets of music for wall paper. One room was the Yelliw Rose of Texas room, Another was the Luchebach room. Our only suggestion for improvement was that there wasnt sufficient lighting in the house to play games and do puzzles.

Traditional style house beautifully decorated with antique furnishings and accents. A lot of loving attention has been put into making the house and patio a warm and inviting place to stay from the moment you walk in to the time when you sadly have to leave. We look forward to an opportunity to return. Highly recommended.

Cute Old House

Keep in mind this is an old house. If you enjoy staying at older place like us then this is for you. Close proximity to Main Street. Hot tub was really great. Good fencing for pets. Propane fire pit was nice also.

Thanksgiving in Fredericksburg

We enjoyed our stay in the Musik Haus. The bedrooms were fairly spacious and with five adults that was important. One negative was the street noise in the front bedroom. The hot tub felt great after spending Friday at Enchanted Rock. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Cute house

Just as listed. Comfortable and cute. Enjoyed the hot tub. We stayed for 5 days. The house is well appointed. Great shower and makeup spot with really good lighting in the main bathroom. Ask for more towels and washcloths if you need more than 1 per person for your stay.

A cute, musical house!

This house was a fun place for our long weekend! It makes great use of the space, and is extremely clean. The decor is music themed & whimsical, which is fun, and it's also comfortable. We enjoyed using the front porch rocking chairs and swing! It does sit on a fairly busy street, but that can't be changed. The vet across the street provided us with cow "chatter," which we just loved! Overall, a nice place for a our quick vacation!

On line is misleading

Arrived at the house. All is accurate about the old house that was buikt around 1930. Still a good house for the age. The issues we had were the pics online were misleading. First the hot tub did work, but online it shows a privacy screen because you are right on the street and anyone can see. The screen was gone, the night lights around the hottub worked but it had 14 lights out. So the property manager is not overlooking the site, even the corn hole boards were wrong(no big deal) and who ever mowed the area was so bad. I do commercial landscape and would not have it looked this bad. The rocks that surround the patio had weeds growing all through. Just horrible! Had to play corn hole because of the tall weeds that lay all over the back. This tells me the weeds and grass were very tall and it was being cut as we arrived around 3pm that check in day. Need to fire the 2 people who cut . All in all the house was accuate and clean ,but just out side was bad and you are staying at the corner and accross the street from a vet clinic. So monday morning a heard of cows came through to the clinic. Location was great. Just no privacy when in the hot tub. I mean i was in it and a older local man walking by stopped in when he saw me to talk. Small fence does surround the area about 4ft tall so anyone can see in the back. Would i stay again probably not this house, but if it were me and wife i would stay in the one next door . More privacy. Wish i could post pics i took

Mardi Gras Getaway

My wife and I booked a week in Fredericksburg to get away from the Mardi Gras Madness at home. Check In at the property was flawless, however, once we got in we discovered that we only had three washcloths and 6 towels for two people for a week stay. After multiple messages back and forth with the owner, we finally got enough on the third or fourth day. There is a washer and dryer on the property, but we are not allowed to use them, only the housekeepers. They are in a small building behind the house. We also had issues with hot water which were fixed on the second day. The comments about the noise from other reviews is very true. The noise from the traffic in the morning is very loud. Also people coming into the vet clinic across the street with cattle trailers is very loud. If you like to sleep in, this is not your place. Also, if you bring pets you may want to check the place when you arrive. Our dogs found all sorts of items like bottle caps under furniture to chew on. Overall it was an ok stay, not sure I would stay here again on another trip to Fredericksburg.

Pre-Thanksgiving reunion

My youngest son brought the 1st girl home to meet me. He and his older brother live in Denver, so the 3 met me in Fredricksburg. He wanted to show his girlfriend the beauty and unique experience of Hill Country. This house has a wonderful location for entertainment and very cozy for a hang at the Musik Haus.

Like staying in a museum

This Haus is so darn cute! They have done an excellent job of keeping so much of the Haus original and there is always something new and different to catch your eye. It was so hot when visiting that we were only able to enjoy the front porch in the mornings, drinking coffee and listening to the early sounds of a cattle auction not too far away. So appropriate for a small Texas town just rich with history and charm. The back yard was fully equipped but 104 degrees in the evenings was a little too warm to enjoy it. This home is well-appointed and we had everything we needed. It's close to everything. We would certainly stay here again if given the opportunity!

Cutest House

We went down to Fredericksburg for a parents getaway with some friends! This house is so cute, cozy and relaxing! House was incredibly clean, wonderful layout! We loved the patio area and tub as well! The music note wall was adorable! The only complaint we had was the noise, it’s right across from a veterinary clinic for livestock so it could get loud in the early mornings and then the cars/motorcycles were extremely loud(like laying in bed it felt like the cars were going to come through the room). But other then that we would stay again!! Great location as well! (:
