After staying at this house, I was pretty shocked at how well it was rated. The house needs some major TLC...fresh paint, new carpet (so many gross stains), fix janky kitchen sink faucet (could barely get it to stop dripping), etc. We paid a higher price for this house knowing it had a pool that could be heated in the winter. Throughout the first day we were to have the pool heated, we noticed it was not warming at all. We were in communication with the property manager and while they were responsive, I had to initiate communication for any updates on the pool. The pool guy was delayed because of the NY holiday and apparently the pool needed to be fixed. It wasn't until I began inquiring that we found out that the pool was not able to be heated...even though they kept telling me it was over 80 degrees while being ice cold. My kids were super disappointed...this is the only reason we chose this house. While it was out of their control, I am super disappointed that I had to continually probe on the status of the pool repairs and temperature. By the time we found out there was a bigger issue with the pool, we were almost checking out of our stay. They didn't end up charging us for the pool heating fee, but it was an overall poor experience. The house has potential to be great and I'm sure is great during the summer with the nice pool. You're ultimately paying a premium for that pool and an extremely sub-par house.

Nice, but expensive

Very nice clean, roomy house. Nice, short golfcart ride to the beach. We loved the private pool. Great, very cold A/C. Washer/dryer was a big plus since there weren’t enough bath towels provided. LOTS of stairs. Entrance drive is extremely narrow with deep water filled culvert on each side. We had a great time!

Family Getaway

We had a group or 8, with all age ranges, and this was the perfect house. More than enough room both indoor and out. The only problem we had was a tub not draining well. We sent a text to the host and someone was out there fixing it within 20 minutes. Awesome house. Awesome communication with host. Great location. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Not Quite as Expected

Positive things about the property:-it has some great areas for hanging out, both indoor and outdoor.-the kitchen was nice and well-equipped as well as the second story bath.-it was convenient to have a downstairs 1/2 bath and sink downstairs.Issues:-we had trouble accessing the house. The electronic entry pad never would work, and we ended up having to use a key from the lock box. That was after a couple of calls to the rental company. I was impressed that they were so apologetic and responsive, but not something we should have had to deal with. -there is a propane grill as advertised, but it is filthy and the igniter does not work. We had to purchase a lighter in order to grill. -the toilet in the primary bath also takes at least 5 minutes to fill after flushing, so you have to wait between turns..-there is carpet in the bedrooms and on the stairs that is filthy, like gross with stains. The rugs in the house are in desperate need of cleaning or replacement.-the pool and the area around it are not good. There is a giant hole in the plaster in the bottom of the pool that has jagged edges. The area around the pool has some old, damaged, torn apart furniture covered in bird poop with torn, ragged cushions. Not usable.-the outdoor tv does not have a working remote. There is a remote provided, but it's the wrong one.Had I known about the condition of the house beforehand, I would not have paid the price that I did for the rental. I do have pictures if needed

Wonderful Getaway

This is a wonderful house to rent! It is in a great location, VERY clean, GREAT pool, comfy beds, quiet neighborhood, and the host is very attentive and nice! I brought my son for his 27th Birthday and we had an AMAZING mother/son vacation! The property was inviting and absolutely perfect for the two of us! We loved everything about it! My son especially loved the pool and veing so close to the beach. We definitely recommend this property and are already planning to come back with the rest of the family! Thank you so much for helping make our vacation a ln AMAZING ONE!!!!

Galveston Rental Home!

We recently stayed at this rental home near Galveston and had a wonderful experience. The host was incredibly attentive, and her communication with us was quick and efficient. The home was very clean and nicely organized, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Amazing Place to Stay By the Beach

The house was extremely clean, the property managers quickly replied to any questions we had, and we were just down the road from the beach. We all loved the pool, especially my five-year-old. The pool was extremely clean, and perfect for daily swims before and after the beach. We rented a golf cart and road around the area and to Jamaica Beach. I highly recommend this house for beach goers and the pool. It had everything we needed and then some. If you’re considering booking it, do yourself a favor and go ahead and book it!

Nice Property

Nice property. Communication was great with the property management company. Clean. In a nice neighborhood that was just a short drive to the beach. About a 20-30 minute drive into Galveston but a very easy drive (one road 4 lane). Great pool. Lots of space by the pool to hang out and relax. Only negative feedback was it said it slept 13 but that would have been tight. Would stay here again if ever in Galveston.

Girls Getaway!

We had the best time at this rental property! The pictures are just as they are shown - clean, well kept and updated! The pool area is where we spent most of our time, which was a great size for the 10 of us girls! The patio/balcony areas were well accommodating too! I would definitely come back to this home and highly recommend it!
