The view from the living room and deck was gorgeous. The swing bar on the ground floor deck should be adjusted or removed. It caused numerous falls on the deck. The stairs crossing the dunes was a welcome sight, though the last step required longer legs than mine. We had to wash towels everyday as there were only six beach towels for the ten of us. The kitchen was fully equipped, and yet the paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, etc. was bargain quality. The stairs are quite steep, so it would have been nice to use the elevator for luggage,etc.

A terrific home - best place to stay on Karankawa Beach. A very spacious home (we had 12 people) with everything you need. A huge dining table for eating, socializing and game playing. Plenty of showers and bathrooms. And of course, right on the beach! Just fantastic!

Overall, a great beach house

The house was great for a beach getaway. However, two things kept me from giving 5 stars. First, the high chair tray was in the bottom of a mop bucket and so gross. I had to scrub it so much before I could feed my baby. Second, i received info beforehand that the keypad on the door didnt work and would need to unlock a lockbox to retrieve physical keys. But when we got there, it was just a simple code to unlock the front door (discovered after searching for the old lock box for 10 minutes).

Great Beach House

This property was right on the beach. Literally walk out the back door and you’re on the beach. Perfect for our family get together. We thoroughly enjoy our stay and we will definitely be coming back. Awesome experience.

Horrible experience

If I could give 0 stars I would. We visited in July, there was a tropical storm that became a hurricane. Obviously the hurricane is an act of nature, it was the way everything was handled. The emergency binder did not have a place for shelter. The flashlights had no batteries, we were stuck there…windows poured in water in the house, we had no electricity and we were flooded in, had to be towed out. We had no way to cook food or keep food cold. We made it two days with no electricity! I communicated the entire time with the management who was not helpful. They would not reimburse us for the days we could not stay with no power or for the towing.

Awesome!!!

Everything is look like the pictures it was super super nice we had the view of the sea so nice i would definitely come back Just a comment for the owners, one arrives super loaded with things and you can't use the forklift so that unpacking isn't so hard, especially when you have older people who can't carry everything else. It was incredible and we would gladly return.excelent!!!!

Salty Sandpiper- Amazing!

I didn’t want to take away from the 5 star AMAZING beach house, the owner is so generous to share. Cleanliness was about a 3-4. The owner provides all the sand toys and things needed to have a wonderful day on the beach! Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Would definitely recommend and love to stay again!

Good location

The best part about this house was the location. Right on the sand and with a private walkover. I had small children so I liked that the balcony was enclosed, and there were no stairs inside the home. I will complain however that the master bedroom door to the balcony had a broken lock. I submitted a claim with the company and they told me the “local team” would be reaching out. But that never happened. So I had kids staying in a house that was not able to lock at night. This made me very unhappy.

The location is perfect! Far enough away from Seawall but close to enough to everything. The house is stunning with large windows and direct beach access. Not enough characters for all the greatness here!

The home and property are very nice. Unfortunately this property is managed by Vacasa. We lost our AC and tried to get Vacasa to help. A day later we've heard nothing. We had to leave early and get a hotel due to the heat.

Miserable

No working fridge, in the living area, for our 5 day stay, the area floods with least amount of rain, we had a 1.5 feet of water in the street, we had to drive out in it,,, and the place was a pigsty, sand on the floors, feathers from pillow cushions everywhere, doors were nasty, a/c filter was caving in due to it was so dirty, cig butts and fish parts on deck, ants everywhere, outside and in, we had maybe 2 days of wifi, the rest of the time it was out! We got nothing but excuses, we have asked for a full refund, and plan to take them to claims court if they dont comply!

Peaceful Ocean Retreat

This was absolutely a wonderful place. The location is about 15 mins from downtown Galveston. Close enough to pop in and enjoy the town but far enough that the beach is so quiet; at times we felt like the only ones on there. The house is literally on the beach and has convenient access to a small convenience mart with groceries and gas. The inside was just as beautiful as the outside. It was well stocked and had everything we could ask for. The beds were so comfortable in every room. There was a closet full of games and beach gear. I can’t say enough good things about this place. You’ll love it, we loved it.
