Our trip was for a family vacation during Spring break. The host was very responsive to any questions, and even reached out after our first night to make sure all was well. The cabin is very centrally located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, so that was a plus. The bed in the master was very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the game room and we spent a decent amount of time each evening playing them. Both the front and back porches offered a nice little place to relax. The cabin offered enough space where we could spread out and not feel cramped.
There isn’t a closet in the bedroom, so we had to live out of suitcases for the week. Not the worst thing, but it is nice to unpack and hang up your clothes. Additionally, I did not have control over the HVAC. When we arrived, the heat was on and you have to enter a code to switch it AC. I had to contact the host, and it was switched to AC for me. Just a bit of an annoyance not be able to control it yourself. We did not use the hot tub as there were things floating in the water and the water itself was a bit cloudy looking. Unfortunately, I noticed this after the kids got in. I did address this with the host and was advised the hot tub is drained and refilled after each guest. At bed time the second night, my daughter mentioned she didn’t want to sleep underneath the sheets (referring to the bunk bed) because there was “black stuff” on them. I should have looked more closely when she first said something, because it wasn’t until the day of check out when I was looking for anything they may have left, that I noticed the sheets had crumbs and hair in them.
For the most part, we did enjoy our stay. However, next time we’re in TN, we will look to stay elsewhere.
