You are in Chalet Village, a resort community with 3 clubhouses: pools and a waterslide in summer, and a North Clubhouse tennis court that usually stays open year-round. Ober Mountain is about 12 minutes by car, the Sugarlands entrance to the national park about 13, and downtown Gatlinburg and Anakeesta about 14. Our fall and winter picks: a morning in the park, an afternoon at Ober Mountain, the views from Gatlinburg SkyPark, then dinner downtown. Guests on a family trip called the cabin exactly what they needed. One caveat: the roads up are curvy mountain roads, so plan a slower drive after dark.

🚗 You will want a car. The driveway is flat and paved, with parking for 3 to 4 cars.

📹 Two exterior Ring security cameras are mounted on the shed. No cameras inside the home.
🏊 The pools and waterslide are shared Chalet Village resort amenities, open roughly mid-May through mid-September. The resort sets hours, maintenance and midweek closures, not us. Fall and winter stays will find the pools closed.
🎾 The North Clubhouse tennis court is usually open year-round and lit into the evening. Bring your own rackets and balls.
🛝 Resort playgrounds are for kids 12 and under.
⛰️ The mountain views are best from the decks. The lower level looks into the trees.
🛣️ Mountain roads have curves and grades. Take that first drive up slow, especially after dark.
🐻 Black bears live here. Never feed or approach wildlife, and keep food and trash secured.
