Very cute cabin in the mountains. Appeared clean but the floors were dirty which is a big yuck for me. Also a bunch of ants, which ok it's in the mountains I expect some stuff but there were some in the bed in the master. The biggest concern is the bears. One broke into the shed the first night. Ripped like 3 locks and a buch of the wood right off the doors. Pulled the screws right out. The maintenance guy came and said that was the 3rd time that week. He also installed a new door the day we checked in. The last night we were there a bear climbed over the gate and was on the deck. Thankfully we had been warned as we kept no food out, but the thing could have easily gotten in if it wanted to and i'm sure it has before. A few other items to note, the cabin is up in the foothills on a long very sketchy ride up/down. Not for the faint of heart. It is very peaceful and secluded from the crowds below, but must be taken into consideration with your plans in town. Also, the bunk beds in the game room were not usable for my teenage boys. They were thin mattresses that felt like basically sleeping on springs. Maybe ok for smaller kids but it is not part of the main cabin so you would be leaving your kids out there at your own risk (bears). That's the door that was replaced. 😳 Definitely an adventure! My boys loved the added thrills! The host was very responsive and easy to work with.
