The house made us feel like a Homecoming. There were bathrooms for all the family. We were all able to congregate in the living area. The host was responsive to our needs. And she allowed us to check in a little earlier. Highly recommend. It was a good location. I to was quiet and no traffic.

Great trip close to home

Took our family with 6 (adult) kids with disabilities, plus a few without, and a wonderful time was had by all. Such a beautiful home with privacy and so much space. Everyone was comfortable and happy. They lost their dad last August and mom who is on second round of chemo following a brain tumor, needs to relax too! Regular vacation spots were not what we needed and Green Briar Farms was. It was perfect!

Perfect family vacation spot

We had our family vacation here and loved all the room. This place is private and large enough for a crowd!. We had 10 adults and 3 toddlers. We had a great time! Would definitely recommend!

Wedding weekend stay

The house and the property were absolutely lovely and our family enjoyed the time spent at the home as we celebrated our daughter‘s wedding weekend. Everything was lovely. The home was well stocked with everything we would needed. The only thing I believe we would change is some of the scent to make the furniture and rooms smell clean we’re a little too strong for us. The home was fairly dusty. Otherwise, we have no complaints and enjoyed our stay.

Troublesome location and racial safety concerns

We were very excited to stay at the property, however when we arrived there were several very concerning issues. After traversing a long (approx. 2 miles) very steep and winding road to get to the property, which is tucked far back in we saw a confederate flag prominently waving in the cow field. Given this, the winding, steep and long terrain, we could not get comfortable spending the night in such a remote location in an environment where we did not feel safe or welcomed. As a Black family, the flag as a clear statement of unwelcome and we took them at their word and made accommodations elsewhere. I wish I had done more research in understanding the property is incredibly remote and the environment not welcoming to Black families. To be clear, I do not know if the flag was on the host property or neighboring property, but it was clearly in sight and a statement for all to see.

MONTY 2023 FAMILY VACATION

Four families from Kansas, Georgia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania gather together for a one week get together. The home was large enough to accommodate all of us and the pool was a big hit. One item that we thought would improve the facilities would be a gas grill.

We have stayed at numerous VRBOs and this was WONDERFUL. Beautifully decorated, meticulous landscape and pool maintenance, responsive property managers. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a family gathering.

Beautiful Home

This is a beautifully decorated rental. Plenty of room for our family to spread out and to gather together if we wanted. Kitchen well stocked. Very relaxing vacation. I have one question, I would love to know the history of this farm and how this beautiful house came to be built in what seems like the middle of nowhere. I would love to return when the scenery is a little more colorful.

Even better than the pictures

This home was better than we expected. It large enough for our extended family to have plenty of room. There are so many places to sit inside and outside, and the view was spectacular! We played games, ate, reconnected. I hope this wont be our last time to visit this beautiful home.

Great space, great pool, adorable outside cat

My group of 10 friends and I stayed at Greenbriar Farms over Labor Day weekend. The house is even better in person than what you see in pictures. Our favorite things - two refrigerators, a huge ice maker in the basement kitchen, the saltwater pool has a wonderful deep end, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. And there's an outside tortie cat named Luna who kept us company any time we were on the spacious deck. We will definitely rent this house again.

The perfect getaway!

This home was perfect for our family! It had plenty of room for everyone to enjoy each other’s company as well as space to escape for alone time when you felt the need. We loved the private location and spent most of our time in the pool. We’ll be back!!!!

Great Friend Getaway

We are a group of five families who all get together annually for a week of fun and relaxation. This house had plenty of rooms to accommodate each family, and the children enjoyed sleeping in the loft. There are two full kitchens, which is outstanding when trying to cook for 13 people! Each bedroom upstairs had an ensuite, which was very nice. We spent the mornings enjoying coffee and reading books on the wrap-around porch, while also enjoying visits from a sweet cat, and a couple of armadillo sightings. The pool is great! Plenty of shallow end for the younger kids with a great pool deck. The kids (and adults!) loved spending the days enjoying the refreshing water and catching up. We also had a spectacular view of the mountains and quiet rolling pastures. One excellent feature for our group was the full basement, complete with kitchen. Once the children went to bed for the evening the adults could retire downstairs and play games without worrying about waking anyone up. I am sure I'm missing some things, but if you're looking for a beautifully maintained home fitting for a multi-family stay, this one it it.

Weekend Getaway

The view on the property was amazing. My family and local friends enjoyed a day of celebration. The pool is salt water and perfect for anyone with chlorine sensitivities. The inside of the home was up to date and had decorative charm. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to bring the family together.

Secluded, peacefull getaway!

Very large house with lots of room, beds, bathrooms,tvs, etc. We spent much of our time in downstairs kitchen and outdoor porches. Pool is large and very refreshing and pool toys of any kind are available. The house is beautiful but the surrounding land and view is spectacular. If secluded spaces and a large home are what you need than this is the place.

More or less satisfied

Overall, quite satisfied. The refrigerator downstairs leaked water and did not cool items placed within. While we are reviewing less than adequate characteristics, I must share that several chairs around the dining table on the main floor would not support average folk. These are minor concerns. A large family enjoyed a comfortable setting, with nieces sharing long periods of welcome and rare time together. Uncles and Aunts, in their 60s and 70s, shared meals and family stories in comfort and security. That counts for quite a lot. Every home needs attention, and this one home is no different. But we enjoyed two days of family time in comfort and security. Thank you for this.

Friendfest!

We had a wedding near Huntsville and this location was perfect! We had young children and I can't imagine a better location to allow a huge friend group with kids (upstairs) and the bachelor/fun hang out space in the basement. The rooms were quiet and each had a huge closet and private bathroom on main and second floor. The views are breathtaking and it was certainly a peaceful and safe location

Amazing Family Reunion

The entire house is spectacular! All the bedrooms in the main and second floors are large, comfortable, and beautifully arranged and have private bathrooms. The furniture is comfortable and at a much higher end than what I have experienced in other houses for rent. The basement, backing onto the swimming pool area, is large and spacious, accommodating up to 5 people for sleeping. This area was my favorite part of the house because it has another large kitchen, where I was able to prepare meals for our large family during a 3-day stay. My brother lives in Huntsville with his wife and kids, and the entire family was able to surprise him for his birthday. We actually had 2 surprise birthday parties during our stay! Even though it rained most of the weekend, we were very comfortable inside the house. Whenever the sun would come out, the kids made the most of the pool. The property faces the mountains and the entire area is extremely quiet and peaceful. My advice to anyone staying in the house is to bring all supplies needed, so no need to drive to the town. Best family gathering in a long time!! Looking forward to doing it again next year!
