Great home away from the hustle and bustle of condos. While the house is across the street from the beach, the walk was faster than dealing with condo elevators and crowds. We were able to setup at the beach without having to worry about staying behind the condo lounges and umbrellas. The home itself was perfect for our family of 10 and our Malabo pup. We put all four kids in the loft area, which they loved. The pool was great. Kitchen was fully stocked. Beds were comfy. The only thing I could say needed updates are the towels. They are your standard white hotel towels. But that is due to me being very picky about towels. Communication with our host was a breeze. Very responsive with clear instructions on check in and out. We will definitely visit again.

Beautiful Beach House

This house was even more than we expected. The location to the beach was excellent. Just right across the street. Lots of seating in the living room for eveyone. Large kitchen that was fully stocked. Our grandson loved the swings under the deck. Pool was nice and clean. Loved all the pool items stocked in the storage room. Highly recommend for large family. We were a family of 8 and had plenty of room.

Great place to stay!!

Super Clean and overall a wonderful stay! We have no complaints. This was our first time renting a house and we will certainly do it again. It was a great experience. One thing that isn’t mentioned that makes this place great, there are a few cut thru’s to get to the beach and this place is next to one. If you have small children you may want to keep this in mind.

Amazing Stay in Gulf Shores

Fins Up was an amazing property for our family's spring break. Our trip included a family with four kids - ages 9 to 16 - plus the grandparents. Everything about the place was perfect.The location is 2-3 miles from the main strip in Gulf Shores, which was no problem for us.It's about 100 yards from a public beach access, so very easy to go back and forth from the beach throughout the day.The layout of the place is perfect for a larger family - easily supporting our party of 8 with some extra space.Communication with the property owner was great - we had a very minor issue arise and I notified the property owner more on a basis of a heads-up and 30 minutes later someone showed up to resolve the issue.Gulf Shores itself was great - a laid back beach environment with plenty of restaurants and activities. About a 20 minute drive from Orange Beach which is more built up with large condo buildings.

Beach Perfection!

Truly perfect beach rental for a family or group of friends. And we are picky. Location is just across the small street and practically on the beach, amazing views from the large porch, a private pool (we didn’t swim due to our stay being during the cold months), and X-large garage storage room for beach items which would be super convenient during summer/ warm months. Would be easy with children or elderly. There is 1 staircase for entry. The rooms are very comfortable and the loft is truly a 4th bedroom with 2 double beds and sitting area/ TV. The decor is completely updated and beautiful. The kitchen is very well stocked as we were able to make breakfast and our favorite meals such as Hawaiian ribeyes. 2 blenders were perfect for peach milkshakes in 1 and adult options in the other. The living area is cozy and we enjoyed competing in the numerous board games at night. The location was quiet despite having neighbors on both sides and being a Spring Break week. Very short drive down to the HangOut and shopping or restaurants. (We always bring our own bath soap, Tp, laundry detergents, coffee, etc, There was a good starter supply for all. Bring your coffee and cooking spices. The coffee maker offers a carafe or use of K-cups. ). We had a wonderful stay and will rent again!

Perfect spot on the beach!

Very clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained. My favorite part was sitting on the front porch in morning with a cup of coffee. Location is right down from a convenience store and far enough away from the main drag that traffic was light in front of the property.

Amazing Beach Property!

Fins Up is a true gem! We had a total of 7 in our party: 4 adults, 2 preteens, and a 6 year old. We had more than enough beds for everyone. The private in-ground pool was a huge hit. There were enough beach chairs, toys, etc in the pool house for all of us, which was phenomenal since we drove 8+ hours and had little room for all of our supplies. Toilet in the pool house was very beneficial. The walk to the beach was super easy. You can see and hear the ocean from the front porch. Just a wonderful place! Will definitely be looking at this property for future beach trips!

Great place to stay!!

Fins up is a great place to stay! Very clean. Awesome pool! Great view - seeing the ocean out the front was the best. Kitchen has everything you could need. We loved staying here and would definitely stay there again.

Perfect stay!

The house was perfect for our whole family and our toddlers! The beach right across the street and pool in the back made it the best of both worlds for the adults and kids! We will for sure be back!

Fins Up is Excellent

We loved everything about this property. Closeness to beach and to downtown Gulf Shores. The pool was amazing. We almost felt bad for other people because our pool was huge! Well kept and the decor was so happy feeling inside. Truly a wonderful vacation-recommended for anyone looking for a place!

Family vacay

We celebrated our 40th Anniversary at “Finns Up” with our family of 9. The house was perfect and provided ample space for everyone. There were beach toys, beach chairs and some beach towels in the pool room. It was clearly noted that these items were not sanitized like they do the entire house. We used the chairs and very much appreciated having them available! We loved everything about the house and the description and photos are spot on!

The Best

Perfect location, perfect for families, no need to drag an ice chest to the beach, you can just walk across the street and make a sandwich. Super easy with young children. The host were very active, although I never needed to respond to them once, it went that smooth. Will definitly stay here again.

Nice home in a good location. It easily fit our party of 8 with room to spare. It was clean and was exactly as it appeared in the ads. Nice array of beach supplies, outdoor shower. Adding a gas grill would be a nice touch. Keyless entry and easy check in/out process. Management were responsive to any needs.

Across the street and steps from the Ocean

Great Location, across the street and steps from the Ocean, multiple beach access points, with or without cross walk. The proximity to beach was perfect for a family with young kids (return quickly to get forgotten beach supplies, or to get home for a nap. Just 2 miles from the "down town (shops, and restaurants), the road being the house was great for running or biking to "town" (both a walking path and bike lane). Beach was not crowded, and water was warm and fun waves even with longer kids. We would stay again.

My husband and I needed some rest and relaxation and this house was perfect. With a private pool and steps away from beach access we had lots of privacy. It was exactly what we were looking for. The house was very clean and spacious. We would recommend this property.

Just as described

We had a great stay. The home was just as pictured. Very close walk to the beach, big private pool although too cold for use really during our stay. It was beautiful. The couple of times we had to reach out for assistance with maintenance issues, they were answered right away. Everything you could need is there for you and it’s close to some shops and dining.

Siblings Holiday Dinner

We had our siblings holiday dinner here. The location is perfect, literally right across the street from the beach (non-crowded). Lots of public parking in a two second drive from the house if you have day visitors. The house was very clean and a great, unique layout. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Place and Location

We loved our stay! It’s really THE perfect location. Close to the beach and close to shopping when you need it. I would just offer up to those who may stay here in the future that you treat it like your home. It was disappointing to see how the previous guests left cabinets and the bathhouse. I spent an hour cleaning out the storage closet, throwing out destroyed pool floats, and moving things around so it was usable. This probably wasn’t in scope for the cleaning crew. The house really was perfect and I don’t think we’d look at any other properties if we were to return to Gulf Shores. There is new construction happening right next door and they started early so that was slightly annoying because they woke us up very early each day. The house on the other side was also being worked on as well. It was a bit noisy and smelly with spray painting going on but still, even with these things, it was a very enjoyable stay! Having the pool was delightful and a wonderful place to be in the evenings. This a great rental!
