Overall our stay here was amazing! The view was great, the backyard had a ton of wildlife for the kids to catch and play with and the sand was a huge hit. The location could not have been better. The only issues we had were that it looked like the house needed some maintenance and cleaning. Some of the floor boards were taped down, the couch was broke, the bathtub knob was broke, and some stains on the comforters but that was pretty minimal to the overall stay. We would definitely stay here again!

I picked this unit for the location, which was great for my family. The small beach area on the lagoon was perfect for my 17 month old. Unfortunately, we where relocated after the first night of our stay due to the severity of black mold present in the house. The situation took up a whole day from our family vacation ( maintenence, mold company and AC company coming in and out to inspect). We were moved into a cheaper unit (although nicer) and not given a full refund of the difference between the two units. I will say the property management was quick to respond but disappointed in the situation and not receiving the appropriate refund.

Family Vacation

Check-in and communication with rental company was excellent. Overall the unit appears clean and smells clean but some attention to details, such as doors are needed. The floors were less than desirable, there were several areas that were warped and coming up, also an area in the middle of the living area was patched with blue painters tape, very unsightly. The dishwasher does not work properly, I had to clean dishes that had been put away dirty. In addition, the ice maker on the fridge makes about 10 cubes a day, not even sufficient for one person to use much less a house that sleeps 10. The private beach behind the unit was nasty. I had to pick up trash and honestly wouldn't recommend it for small children to swim there. Beds were very comfortable but no extra blankets or throws were available. The unit only has blinds, no curtains for those that would like to sleep in. The dock was nice but there was a constant steam of kids fishing off the dock and leaving behind a mess. A neighbor had to go to a clinic to have a fish hook removed early one morning. Overall not a bad experience, just some things that could be addressed to make your stay better. Loved the sunrise and sunsets from the balcony and location to the beach. Although, the pass was being dredged when we were there and the Gulf water was nasty, we made the best of it. I love the area because it's not as commercialized. I would consider staying here again, maybe in the fall or winter but not during the summer.

This Nebraska Crew Loved our Stay!

Everything was perfect! The location, communication with the property manager, ease of check-in, lagoon access, private shared dock and quaint beach area on the lagoon side, across the street from the ocean, we loved it all! We are already planning our next trip down!

Off Season Getaway

My family rents a house in Gulf Shores for the Month of November every year. This house fit our needs very well with easy access to the beach as well as a pier directly off the back deck for lagoon fishing. Had some technical difficulties with the cable and internet but property manager was very responsive and had issue fixed within a few hours. Good value for the location and 4 bedroom is perfect size for my family. I would recommend and rent again.

The Lazy Pelican East

I was very disappointed in the pride of ownership in this property. It is very clear that you are not concerned with the up keep of this property. I actually spent the first hour or so of my stay cleaning all the light switches, window ledges and door handles. The light switches looked as though they had not been cleaned in months. They were disgusting. You also have a mold problem in your ventilation. You can see this very visible in return vents and vents in the walls. The dishwasher was not working properly and would not dry the dishes. We did contact the number given to us and they said they would send someone out to check it out but at no point during our stay did the dishwasher work correctly and we never saw anyone come so we can assume it wasn't addressed. The yard area to the side and back of the home had trash and weeds everywhere. I feel you could take more time to at least make sure trash is cleaned up and the beach area is open sand and not a majority of weeds. The flooring and trim are not in good condition and the trim is moldy and broken in many spots. The only thing I did appreciate was the location with the lagoon right out the back and that the floors and beds were clean upon arrival. We would not recommend this home and if we return we plan on staying in orange beach. We will also know to ask more questions about the property and be more open with the people running the home about our expectations.

Great home but could use some updates

We recently stayed at this property for our beach vacation. The house was nice overall. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. The kitchen needed some more cleaning. The shelves in the pantry were gross. Dishes were not clean, but then we realized it was probably because the dishwasher did NOT clean the dishes. Probably a combination of it needing serviced and we could never get hot water to the sink. Luckily we brought paper plates and plastic wear. The microwave and stove/oven needed to be cleaned. The grill downstairs worked, but is probably a fire hazard in its current condition. The upstairs patio had a shade to close for privacy from neighbors but was broke. The walls and baseboards definitely needed cleaning. We thought about calling but then our vacation would be interrupted by cleaning & maintenance crews. For as much as they charge for a cleaning fee, it should have been cleaned better and inspected by management company before arrival. The dock and beach access to the bay was amazing!! Beautiful view for sunset and sunrise. Overall, it was fine…but would probably stay somewhere different next time.

Beautiful scenery. Loved the small private beach and close access across the street to the main beach. The small private beach was perfect for our 1 year old granddaughter. The peir was also nice to sit on and fish.

GA Memorial day weekend

We absolutely loved the the property, great location and setting. Private beach never a crowd, very relaxing weekend. Got updates daily on tides, and checking in to make sure everything was ok.

Great location for Family

This property is perfect for the water activity family. Duplex home would be even better for larger groups. Far enough away from tourist activities but close enough to go join in. Can't wait to return

Good Dishwasher did not clean dishes. Down stairs bed is terrible needs to be replaced! Gave me a soar back. Ice dispenser only gave you crushed ice and water no cubes.

Was the perfect place to vacation with my daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren ages 2 and 4.

We enjoyed the location, having both the lagoon area as well as the beach close by. This made it easy with the grandchildren. We all had a great time, my 4 year old grandson didn’t want to leave our beach home!

A great family spot!

A great house to combine multiple families. Two bedrooms with bathrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs was perfect for our family of 5, my parents, and my sister and her husband and newborn baby. We were slightly concerned about it being a duplex , but it was no issue at all - our neighbors were kind and they could not hear my loud children at night through the house - WHEW! The private beach is bayfront and PERFECT for any family with littles. Will definitely book again!
