Everything was just as I imagined except for the staff. We asked for some printing to be done and granted it was quite more than they are probably used to, but it was done without first informing us of the price and then all of a sudden we were slapped with a bill for 35pounds! « Venue pour un salon à Harrogate nous avons réservé dans ce petit boutique hôtel et je suis tombée sous le charme. Notre chambre était confortable, grande et joliment décorée. Le petit-déjeuner frais et suffisant. L’accueil était chaleureux. En début de soirée on entend un peu les bruits de la chambre du dessus mais vraiment rien qui vienne gâcher le séjour. « Great, small and cosy hotel with lot of charm. A bar/restaurant at the ground floor with jazz band playing in the night. Got a great room with lot of space and very clean. Personnel very nice and helpful. »

« The food at the Chequers was excellent. We had a great meal in the bar in the evening and breakfast was top class. The room was very comfortable but we found the tv small and difficult to view from the bed near the window. There was plenty of parking and we were able to park right outside our room which was on the ground floor. There was a nice sheltered little are to sit outside the room. « This hotel was at a perfect distance of 8 hours’ drive from my home location, southern Belgium. The Wifi was unfortunately not available on my room; nevertheless I had a good wifi connection in the lobby/pub. The evening meal was of good quality. In my perspective I will stop again in this location next time I have to travel to the north of England. I bookmarked the spot in my car satnav. »

« Great hotel in an amazing location. Had dinner in the restaurant which was also fabulous. There is a car park at the hotel that is £15 per night for residents which is good value for a city centre. »
