Hotel Herstmonceux

« Staff not very friendly (both on check in and check out). It seemed as if they would like to be anywhere except where they were then and there and they did not seem keen to help with anything. The walls are very thin and people speaking in the corridor sound like they are in your room. You can also hear everything outside. Did not have a good night's sleep and would not book to stay here again. »

« Très bon hôtel. Le spa propose de nombreuses prestations mais pas d’accès gratuit »

« Belle chambre tout confort, mais n'a pas le charme du pub car située dans une annexe. »

« Lovely old inn with well appointed clean rooms. Had evening meal which was excellent. Breakfast was also well cooked and delicious. It had a lovely ambience. »

« Weather was great went to visit my grandchildren who live nearby pod was great could do with a good clean on outside and decking was abit wobbly would come again good price for what it was the bed really clean toilets and showers considering how many people on site »

« Très bon séjour. Les chambres sont propres avec un couchage confortable. Un salon est à disposition avec des jeux. La maison est située à qqs mètres de la plage et à une dizaine de minutes à pied de la jetée d eastbourne. Très bon accueil. »

« We had a room at the rear of the hotel which was nice and quiet. A fan was available in the room which helped during the heatwave. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. No wardrobe but hooks on the wall and hangers for clothes which was ok as we only stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly on arrival and at breakfast. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. »

« Amazing place highly recommended, food and restaurant staff just great….. we have enjoyed sauna and morning Yoga was perfect to finish it off our stay. »

« Très bel hôtel, tout est bien sauf peut-être les heures du petit déjeuner trop courtes (7h30 à 9h30) ainsi que pour le dîner avec un repas à maximum 7h45... Le reste était top! »

« Excellent séjour , chambre spacieuse et très confortable , on n’entendait que les petits oiseaux chanter.Cadre idyllique sur un golf . Personnel souriant et efficace. »

« A really lovely hotel with even lovelier staff. Right next to the beach and perfect for our little get away. Breakfast was also really lovely and the staff were really accommodating »

« Be reassured: when they say "Single Bed (Shared)", you won't have to share the tiny bed—only the old bathroom. Even so, for the price, you would have expected an en-suite. Don't rely on the staff to help. The guy is useless. Don't ask questions either: it will take him three hours to reply, and the answer will show he hasn't even read the question. Don't expect too much from the breakfast, either: one overcooked fried egg standing sheepishly next to a hash brown, one sliced mushroom, and a...

« Chambre avec un mur moisi, nettoyage approximatif. »

« First room was unusable due to extreme noise all night, and I only got moved the next day after reporting it. The first night was therefore effectively lost and no refund was given. Also concerning: the hotel took full credit card details, including the security code (CVV), and wrote them down on a piece of paper, which is unsafe practice. Overall, poor handling of a serious issue and questionable payment security procedures. Expedia offered only a small goodwill credit, which did not reflect...
