Adventure awaits in North Georgia and Western North Carolina! Enjoy mountain views, days on Lake Chatuge, and plenty of opportunities to relax.

Take in sweeping lake and mountain views from Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (approximately 15–20 minutes away), or visit Brasstown Bald, Georgia’s highest point (about 35–45 minutes away). With Lake Chatuge right at the property, a day on the water is close at hand. Rent a boat or personal watercraft from a local marina, with travel times varying by location.

For hiking and mountain biking, head to Jackrabbit Mountain in Nantahala National Forest (approximately 20–25 minutes away), where you can also enjoy the trails with your dog. Fires Creek Recreation Area (about 40–50 minutes away) offers scenic hikes, swimming, and trout fishing.

Discover waterfalls along the High Shoals Falls Trail (approximately 25–35 minutes to the trailhead), or plan a day trip to Alpine Helen (about 35–45 minutes away) for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

After a day of exploring, enjoy local restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hiawassee (approximately 5–10 minutes away) and downtown Hayesville (about 25–30 minutes away).

*Feel free to enjoy the dock. The owners' boat may be docked at the dock during your stay. It is not part of the rental and is not available for guest use.
If you bring or rent a boat, you're welcome to use the dock. Please be mindful of the water depth when docking, as it can vary depending on lake conditions.
