The house was great for what we needed. A couple of things you should know before renting this house are that you will need to submit a photo ID, a list of people staying with you by name, and a security deposit (or waiver fee) in addition to what VRBO charges. I was in a rush to book a place and failed to read the fine print closely. I was just going by the VRBO description, which said "includes all fees". Also, for a one-night stay, I was a little put off by how many interactions I had with the host. They even messaged me on the departure morning to ask me to tell them when I was leaving. This all may be normal, but I had not experienced it before when renting a house. Another critical thing to know is that there is a step down into the master suite from the living room (and also into the laundry room from the kitchen). Two of our children fell because of this, because it's not very well lit at night, and easy to forget about. I also noticed that the master bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have expected. The sink and toilet were very clean, but the only shelf in the small space was covered in dust, and there was debris in the shower drain that could have been easily wiped out during routine cleaning. All in all, the house was easy to find and pleasant enough. We were only there to sleep, so we did not take advantage of any of the amenities, but the screened-in porch in the back seemed nice.
