Homely Place

Convenient check in and out. Place is spacious. Bed were firm. Kitchen was well equipped. Not too far from Hobart Waterfront especially if driving. Coles, Woolworth and Kmart are nearby.

EXCEEDED EXPECTATION

We can tell from the moment we step in the house, owner Grace and Jo-anne are house proud and loving people. The house was kept clean, tidy, and has a fully equipped kitchen. Highly recommended for any one stopping by Hobart. Perfect for family holidays or friendly excursions.

Perfect Accommodation!

We had 10 days to explore Tasmania - this included 2 days allocated to getting to and from Tasmania. Due to our schedule we organised to spend our last 3 nights in Hobart. Hobart Gables was the most perfect fit for what we required. We had been unable to do any washing so were able to catch up on that with a washing machine and clothes dryer provided as well as detergent being supplied which we weren't expecting! The beds were super comfortable and the option of heating was very welcomed especially on our first night in Hobart - it had been turned on for us before we arrived! There was a welcome pack of bread/spreads (plus some chocolates) so you could easily have a light breakfast before you headed out for the day. There was a little bit of noise from the apartment below but it appeared to be young children and that is to be expected - it did not reflect on the standard of the accommodation at all. Would definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity!

What a Wonderful place to stay

The Apartment was bright and airy with wonderful high quality inclusions. There was heaps of room inside and out. We had travelled 8 days prior to our stay here and this was definitely the best accommodation that we had. I could not fault it

Enjoyable Experience at the Gables

We had a comfortable staty at the Gables. The unit was clean and well maintained. Videos, games, washing machine and dryer were available. Wifi was good. Kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary utensils ... All good and happy to stay again on the next visit to Hobart.

Wow! What a superb place to stay!

We were lucky and smart to choose Hobart Gables as the place to stay. Grace and Jo-Anne are perfect hosts, highly responsive, thoughtful and thorough in detail. They made us felt it home away from home, even better. A welcome card for us was there. Everything a family required were provided: even a Lavazza coffee maker with plenty of capsules, bread and butter, TV and audio sets, plenty of reading books, a washer & dryer, laundry detergent...etc and a private courtyard! Highly recommended to fellow travelers to Hobart.

Great accommodation close to Hobart CBD

Hobart Gables is a very comfortable and convenient place to stay. It is a well restored old building with plenty of room and good views of Mt Wellington. Hobart CBD is only a few minutes away and there is a convenient nearby supermarket. The owners are very friendly people and thoughtfully provide everything needed for a good stay. We'll be back.

Gorgeous real home, better than any hotel.

We searched Wotif for serviced apartments in Hobart and we are so glad we chose Hobart Gables. It is so much more than a serviced apartment. It is actually a home. We stayed in the ground level apartment of the two available and it was genuinely our own home for our four night stay. It is set back from the quiet residential street behind the owner's residence and they (Grace and Jo-Anne were delightful) were only too happy to assist in any way. A beautiful master bedroom with an exceptionally comfortable king size bed. The second bedroom was also large with two single beds but tons of space for the porta-cot (provided by owners) for our 11 month old boy. A high chair was also provided and there was even a pram available for use (it was a decent one too). We had our own pram with us but it was a very nice option to have. Excellent kitchen facilities for cooking as much as you want and beautiful lounge and dining areas. Not forgetting the outdoor dining which would be wonderful during the warmer, dryer months. Also, quality washer and dryer facilities as well as having a separate shower and bath. A very easy 5 minute drive (or about 30 minute walk) to the CBD, Waterfront or Salamanca. Freeway access only approx. 500 metres so getting to the MONA museum was simple. For those without a car, there is a bus stop right out front which would be highly convenient. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Hobart. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous Gables

Really well-equipped apartment with everything you need - even an espresso machine. Warm with lots of space and light. Close to North Hobart dining strip.

Home away from home

All the luxury of being on holidays and all the right things for a very comfortable stay. Huge space with great details like a card and chocolates on welcome to everything you could possibly need when wanting a to have a quiet night in and cook. All the info and booklets left on coffee table were also great to get an idea of what to check out in Hobart during our stay.

Lovely stay

We stayed at Hobart Gables on completion of a 6-day hike. After a week away from civilisation our minds were blown by our accommodation which had everything we needed and more, including complete washing/drying facilities and a totally well-equipped kitchen. Our apartment was clean, comfortable, and charming. Our hosts Jo-Anne and Grace were friendly and available, yet never imposing. Treats on arrival were a nice touch! There was a variety of tourist brochures as well as food and culture guides available in our apartment. We found the accommodation to be an easy/comfortable walk into the city and it is located in a nice suburb with some great places to eat and drink. Looking forward to our next stay.

Lovely period accommodation

Hobart Gables is a gorgeous period accommodation close to amenities, tourist attractions, and close to Hobart CBD. The owners are really lovely people who met us upon arrival and made sure that we had everything we needed and provided personal touches to make sure we had a fantastic stay. The apartment is appointed with gorgeous antique furniture and is very spacious with incredible views of Mount Wellington. You will need to bring nothing with you as they have really thought of everything that you will need! Trust us - you will not be disappointed!!

Classy, comfortable and attention to details

We stayed 6 nights in this private, classy and comfortable self-contained apartment. True to their ad, it was much like home away from home. Never stayed at an apartment style accommodation which provided such life essentials as glad wrap and paper towels and it was such a delight to find them! Generous amount of coffee, tea etc were provided. Everything was clean and well-thought out to offer the maximum comfort.

We had the downstairs apartment and it has lovely leafy views, as well as a private courtyard. The apartment was charming, spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. We were there for four nights and would have been happy staying for longer.

Fantastic great place to stay

The Hobart Gables was a nice clean and warm place to stay, all fixtures and fittings seem quite new after a recent refurb. Great location and has everything required to have a night in if its cold outside. Overall great place highly recommended. Thanks Grace and Jo-Anne for a lovely stay.

Home away from home

Family of 4 had a great stay at the Gables. The property was well located with short travelling into Hobart and supermarkets etc nearby. We were very grateful for the supply of coffee, bread and even laundry detergent. The house was warm and light and we'd definitely return.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hobart Gables. Plenty of room for our family of four. Lovely little kitchen, amenities were great and within a little walk to the city. Would highly recommend.
