« Last weekend we stayed at the Wiveton Bell for two nights. I have to report that the pub has changed hands since we were last there. The room we had was well appointed; a small snug with two easy chairs, coffee table and sideboard ......kettle, coffee machine, magazines etc.... and a separate roomy bedroom with a TV and plenty of wardrobe/cupboard space plus a modern ensuite.  We had several issues regarding the room. « L'hotel est tres bien situé, proche de la plage. La plage est tres belle, beaucoup de familles anglaises s'y installent pour la journee, cabanes typiques et possibilite de se promener a pied. L'hotel est dans un cottage tres bien rénové et décoré avec beaucoup de gout et de charme. Pas d'ascenceur pour les valises. L'hotel fait restaurant et bar, c'est un endroit tres prisé par les locaux, la carte est variée et originale, le diner et le dessert etaient excellents. Seul bémol, nous étions...

« I didn't like having a room which faced out onto the courtyard where pub guests were drinking and eating. It meant that to get privacy you had to draw the curtains which then covered not only the door but also the only windows and I like to have open windows, especially when there is no air conditioner. Having said that, the room itself was quite comfortable and the food was good. »

« Beautiful location and bedrooms. However communal area ie. Accommodation stairs and hallway needs attention. Parking can be an issue as anyone can park in pub carpark for free, just to go to the beach for the day. »

« Excellent hotel! Excellent staff. I arrived late due to being held up at work so called ahead, the chap on the phone was kind enough to wait 1hr30 past the check-in deadline for me to get there, thank you! Had only booked the single room for 1 night, while the room could be classed as a little snug it was nothing less than very comfortable. The room is very well presented and incredibly clean, bed was super comfy and bathroom was spotless and of a decent size. Paid extra for the Full English...

« Everything about this Green King Inn was perfect. Its location on the river had loverly views, the food well priced, staff where excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay there again. »
