Superbe pays et vue sur l'océan, pourtant proche de Reykjavik

Au lodge Brekka, vous êtes sûr de recevoir un accueil chaleureux, indépendant du temps. Vous vous sentirez à l'aise dans le bel espace ouvert de la maison et sur la grande terrasse tout en profitant de l'intimité de ce site vierge. La baignoire géothermique invitante est discrètement placée dans les buissons du bouleau au milieu de la nature pure. L'emplacement est superbe avec une vue magnifique et des nuances de lumière changeantes sur la baie de Hvalfjord et l'océan Atlantique, ainsi que sur le groupe de montagnes Sulur dans l'autre sens. Un petit ruisseau fait la frontière de la propriété qui passe dans le ravin. Le lodge Brekka (pente moyenne) est une belle maison achevée en 2013. Il est bien assis dans la colline, d'où son nom. Pour 6 personnes, vous disposez de beaucoup d'espace. En outre, il y a un canapé-lit double dans l'espace ouvert à l'étage, idéal pour les enfants. De cette façon, Brekka peut accueillir 8 personnes sur demande. Veuillez noter que si vous réservez pour plus de 6 personnes, un supplément de 30 €, - pr. personne, pr. la nuit va s'appliquer.
Brekka est un endroit magnifique, une véritable retraite de Reykjavik, "assez proche mais suffisamment éloigné". La maison est à environ 45 minutes de route de Reykjavík et à environ une heure et demie de l’aéroport KEF. Brekka dispose d'une connexion en fibre de verre gratuite pour Internet et la télévision.
Vous dirigez-vous vers le nord, l'ouest ou le sud? Nous gérons également les cottages de qualité "Hamragil" de la ville d'Akureyri dans le nord (3925011), "Tvera" sur la côte sud des fjords de l'ouest (4084081) et "Holt" au sud des superbes sites touristiques de Geysir et Gullfoss (4776958).

Jon is very helpful, always available and gives very good advice. The comfortable house offers breathtaking views of the mountains, fjord and ocean. The tub experience at night and in the snow is a real discovery. An excellent family stay.

Our family stayed at Brekka for the holiday season. The host’s directions were spot on and we found the house no trouble at night,in the snow, and never having been to Iceland before. The house was warm and clean on arrival & fully stocked with all utensils and cooking pots and pans, etc we needed for our stay. The three bedrooms and upstairs loft all got used as sleeping quarters; everyone was comfortable and the blankets sheets and pillows were all clean and inviting for a good night’s sleep. We drove offsite most of the time to either go visiting or hiking (Glymur is nearby as is Hvammsvik hot springs - both worthy trips), but each afternoon we were happy to come back and prepare dinner and relax in the hot tub. The hot tub is amazing (once you get the hang of operating it!). I did drain it once by accident, but then figured it out easily and we were back in business. We loved our stay - particularly getting a surprise Christmas tree from our host - and decorating it with a box of Christmas decorations that were at the house. Jon - the host - was always accessible and answered our every question promptly and with obvious pride for the house. His attentiveness and kindness made our stay just that much more enjoyable because he made us confident in where we were staying, notwithstanding some fairly heavy Icelandic winter weather. We absolutely loved staying here! The views were breathtaking. The location allowed for a quiet, peaceful stay with the ability to see the northern lights without light pollution, and was not far from many sites and attractions. The property was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our time there. We would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to stay here again!

Die Brekka Lodge ist wunderschön gelegen und hat einen herrlichen Ausblick über den Fjord. Auch die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr gemütlich und die Einrichtung bietet alles, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Wir haben hier den Jahreswechsel verbracht und hatten das Glück, an zwei Abenden Polarlichter sehen zu können - perfekt. Auch für Ausflüge ist die Lage ideal. Der Vermieter Jon Baldur war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vor der Reise haben wir zur Einstimmung jede Menge Informationen bekommen und waren daher gut vorbereitet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

My wife and I stayed at Brekka during early-mid September and had an amazing time exploring many things Iceland has to offer. The cabin is in a fantastic location with terrific views. We saw the northern lights three nights in a row! The lodge was very comfortable and very well stocked. Jon left great instructions and food recommendations. Hotel Glymur dinner is a must! Jon is a wonderful host with excellent, quick communication the few times we had questions. Best of the best! Thank you, Jon! Eric & Hayley

Brekka lodge is a perfect place to stay if you're looking for some rest and relaxation. The lodges in this area all have quite a bit of space and privacy to them. The area it is in is a beautiful place, with convenient proximity to various places to explore in Iceland. Experienced hikers can go to Glymur waterfall at the eastern end of Hvalfjordur. Nearby Hvammvik springs on the south side of the bay gives you a place to swim in the ocean, and then warm up in a thermal pool. Reykjavik is less than an hour away by car, and to the north and west, you have the beautiful Snaefellsnes and other historic places, such as Reykholt. The geothermal tub was very relaxing, and I believe it helped me correct a skin condition on my hand (dermatitis / eczema); after the trip my hand has never looked this good in over 6 years. I would definitely come back to Iceland and stay at another Nordic Lodge in the future!

We were looking for a place that is in the middle of the area we wanted to be. From this place we could go North, South, up to the peninsula, the Gullfoss Waterfall, or to the airport all within a daytrip. What a great treasure we found in Brekka! It was the perfect location, the view was amazing, and it was a great place to relax after our day out.The kitchen had everything we needed for our dinners, and it was wonderful to do small loads of laundry while we were there. Brekka was the perfect place for us!

Die Brekka Lodge ist wirklich schön und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage der Lodge bietet nicht nur einen guten Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen, sondern auch einen grandiosen Blick über den Fjord, der durch Sonne und Wolken immer wieder in ein faszinierendes Licht getaucht wird. Durch den netten Kontakt (Schriftwechsel) mit Jon fühlten wir uns von Anfang an sehr gut informiert und jederzeit gut aufgehoben. Wir hatten knapp zwei Wochen gebucht, wären aber gerne noch etwas geblieben.

Cute little house with a spectacular view. Wish there was a dryer with the washer or drying function within washer as we weren’t able to do laundry as we hoped (not enough space on drying rack for all of our clothes). Kitchen was very useful for a family with kids. Loved the secluded location to enjoy the scenic views.

We enjoyed our stay at Brekka Lodge! We never watched any television, because we preferred to watch the view either from the living area, the deck, or the geo thermal tub. The house is well located to lots of sights and is also very close to the trailhead to Glymur Falls, a stunning waterfall that is worth the hike! It is much better to take the longer trail that goes to the left. The shorter trail is much steeper and, for now, the log crossing over the river is down. We also enjoyed eating at nearby Hótel Laxárbakki. They have a small menu, but delicious homemade meals. We highly recommend the fish stew. As for the house, it is clean, nice, in a quiet area and you can't beat the views! The host, Jon, is very quick to respond if you have any questions.

What a beautiful and warm property! It had everything we needed for days we wanted to stay in, and was so welcoming it come back to after a day in Reykyavik. The drive was well worth it for the views of Hvalfjördur at night. The host was very responsive and we would definitely stay again.
