Upon arrival, we had some difficulty locating the building, as well as the doors for the three access codes. The door on the street was open, so didn’t realize it needed a code took us a moment to figure That out. Upon entering the second door of the hallway to the building, there were several air fresheners and dehumidifiers in the hallway. Once we got in the unit itself, there were several dehumidifier/air, cleaners, and air deodorizers.. After a few hours in the unit, we started noticing an offensive odor, next morning we woke up. The whole unit smelled like some sort of chemical odor.. I reached out to the property owner and was told that they were aware of the odor and they were working on it. No solution was provided. We left for the day came back that afternoon and as soon as you open the door, the odor overwhelmed us. We could actually not stay in the unit, dressed for dinner and left came back opened all the windows and Advised
the owner that we may have to leave. We did end up leaving early because the odor was so offensive, turns out that there was a leak in the building and the odor is coming from the moisture. In my opinion, this place should not be allowed to be rented. I’m sure it was infested with mold and which would explain why my husband I got sick.
