The mountains are an almost constant presence, visible from the living room, bedrooms, and outdoor gathering spaces. Thoughtful transitions between indoors and out make it easy for a group to spend the day together without feeling crowded, whether preparing a meal, lounging beside the pool, or finding a quiet corner to read.

The outdoor kitchen makes meals part of the experience rather than an interruption. Grill beside the mountains, prepare drinks at the generous island, and gather beneath the covered dining area, where a table for ten makes leisurely group dinners easy. Flagstone paving, sculptural agave, and native-looking desert plantings complement the home's natural materials without competing with the scenery.



Tucked between the cedar-clad walls, a separate courtyard offers a more intimate place to gather. A large television and integrated Sonos sound system provide entertainment, while the open connection to the kitchen keeps everyone involved, even when some are cooking and others are relaxing.



A built-in desk also provides a convenient place to catch up on work without taking over the main gathering spaces.

Timber House's kitchen is as carefully considered as the rest of the home. Floor-to-ceiling white oak cabinetry, richly textured stone countertops, and a generous central island create an inviting space for cooking together. Premium appliances and a fully equipped kitchen make everything from casual breakfasts to elaborate group dinners comfortably manageable.



The island offers additional seating for morning coffee or company while preparing a meal. Its open layout connects naturally to the living spaces, allowing guests to move between cooking, dining, and relaxing without feeling separated.



For outdoor meals, the second kitchen offers a BBQ, refrigerator, and ample preparation space, with covered dining for ten just steps away. It's an especially appealing setup for groups who enjoy cooking and entertaining as much as exploring Joshua Tree.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Timber House accommodates up to 10 guests across four bedrooms, with additional sleeping space provided for larger groups. Each bedroom continues the home's restrained material palette, pairing natural wood finishes with comfortable bedding, thoughtful furnishings, and views of the surrounding desert.



The primary suite features a king bed set against a custom white oak headboard wall, complemented by abstract artwork and corner windows overlooking the valley. The setting is peaceful and uncluttered, with natural light and mountain scenery giving the room its character.



The three additional bedrooms each feature a queen bed, modern furnishings, and windows looking toward the desert landscape. Every bedroom has its own thermostat, allowing guests to adjust their sleeping temperature independently.



Eight guests can sleep in the four beds, while a queen air mattress with bedding is provided for the ninth and tenth guests.



The home includes two full bathrooms and one half bathroom, finished with contemporary tilework, natural stone details, and streamlined fixtures. Carved stone sinks, warm wood cabinetry, and spacious showers continue the home's architectural aesthetic while providing practical comfort for groups sharing the property.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.
