« The facility is new. The staff was unprepared. The room was wrong (1 bed vs 2)! So someone had to sleep on sofa bed. The staff just said 'Oh well this is all we have left tonight.' The only thing good about this place is the location to the airport. if that is all you are looking for then this place probably works but you will NOT have any other good feelings from staying in this location and we were not the only group that you could hear complaining in the lobby! »

« 5 minutes from the Juneau Airport, but you must call a taxi company to take you there, no shuttle. Walking is theoretically possible but only for the ambitious. Phone communication with hotel front desk was with non-native speaker and hard to understand. On-site front desk staff at arrival was non-existent but to be fair was elsewhere doing maintenance, so I had to search for them. The Hotel Desk is only open from 7am-11pm, this is not specified on the listing - problem if you have a late flight...

« We enjoyed our stay at the Alaskan Hotel very much! We knew it was an old hotel, built in 1913, but we enjoy unique, historic properties. That is not everyone’s preference. We had the “shared bathroom” experience because we booked last minute due to airline cancellations. That was fine with us - the bathrooms and showers were very clean - but again, that would not be everyone’s cup of tea.
