Check in was super easy. We got all of our check in information days before and the instructions were clear. Kitchen was fully stocked and when we needed something, they were able to deliver it the very next day. They also gave us the option to purchase and get reimbursed in case we needed it sooner.

Perfect Family Getaway

We had an amazing stay! The space was clean, organized, and had everything our family needed. The view was beautiful, and the resort itself was perfect… gorgeous pools, lush grounds, and snorkeling right off the beach! Communication with the property manager was excellent, making everything smooth from start to finish. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Stay at Honua Kai

We had a fantastic stay at Honua Kai. The condo was perfect for our family, with parents in one room, grandparents in the other and kids sharing the pullout sofa. The condo was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The grounds of the property were beautiful and we enjoyed all the pools. The kids especially loved the water slide. We were grateful for the beach chairs and umbrella for our days on the beach. Communication was great - all our questions were answered very quickly. The only thing we didn’t love about the property was the fitness center. It’s much too small for both towers to share and we had a hard time getting in with the code provided. It took several days to get the correct code but because it was so busy, there was always someone there to let us in. I hope they will expand it someday. We will definitely be back!

Kaanapali Kindness

We had a great experience at this wonderful property! We pulled up very late after a long day of travel and then stocking up on provisions at Costco in Kahului. The bell desk and crews promptly loaded up our many suitcases, golf bags and groceries from Costco and brought them to the our suite. The process was very efficient and very appreciated! The property is very clean and well laid out for pleasure. The beach and ocean is very close. Loved the grills for cooking. Having Dukes on the property was great for getting our necessary supply of Hula Pie. Our unit was well stocked with everything one would need for enjoying the condo. We loved having a washer and dryer for keeping towels clean and clothing clean. The beach chairs and umbrella and beach towels were very welcome. Maybe add a collapsible wagon for schlepping it all to the beach and this unit would be complete. As stated by others, there were a few cockroaches, easily killed with the use of bug spray. We asked that our unit be deep sprayed in advance and we think this helped. We kept our unit clean and free of food items stored away and I'm certain that this practice helped keep critters at bay. It is Hawaii and bugs are to be expected. The walls are well insulated and rarely did we hear any other occupants. We loved having a patio table and chairs on our ninth floor balcony to appreciate the fresh island breezes in the evening. We would love to stay here again our next time on the island. This property is great!

Mixed review

We have stayed at the Honua Kai resort at a different unit in the past. We love the location and amenities of Honua Kai. The communication with this property management company for this unit was good, but as per the last review, there is a cockroach issue and the property management company needs to be more serious on how to address it. I highly recommend Honua Kai, but suggest looking for a different unit to stay in.

Good location close to the beaches and pools. Not a big fan of cockroaches and there were many in the unit. They did treat the unit while we were there but there were just as many as before they sprayed. Other than that a good place to stay.

Lovely stay at Honua Kai resort

We had a lovely stay at the Honua Kai resort in Maui! The unit was exactly as advertised, with absolutely breathtaking views on the lanai (though super windy) and a very spacious living room and bedrooms. They provided beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and more, which made for super convenient beach trips. Some cons: We did see a few cockroaches in the bathrooms over the course of our stay, and found a diaper under the couch, presumably from a previous patron. Given the emphasis on cleaning from the property manager, we were a bit surprised to find remnants from the people who stayed in the unit before us. All in all, however, we enjoyed our stay and especially appreciated the convenience of Duke’s downstairs and close access to the beach.

Great Resort!

The resort was amazing. The pools, the beach, the landscaping all incredible!! There were a few bugs but if you take the trash out daily and keep all food stored, it will help. Check in and check out were super easy. Will recommend and hope to return!!!

Wonderful Family Memories

What a beautiful resort and condo! My daughter’s family of 4 and I were so comfortable here and enjoyed every minute. Wonderful pools, gracious staff, comfortable beds, and of course, beautiful Maui all made our stay so memorable. I highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a place to stay in Maui.

Beautiful view. Great location

Overall the room was clean and we were surprised at how spacious it was. Check in process was easy and the baby rental place that was recommended by our host was able to drop everything off in the room prior to us arriving and then picked everything up after we had checked out which worked out perfectly for our 5am departure. We appreciated the extra beach towels and additional amenities in the unit too- pack n play, beach chairs, umbrellas etc. There were a few things that needed attention (broken tub drain + some burnt out bulbs) but the host was quick to respond and resolved them right away. Our only real complaint was that we did see many small cockroaches throughout our stay even prior to bringing our own food in. I did read that it could be a problem in the rental listing so I wasn’t completely surprised to see them but it still grossed us out none the less. One other thing I will mention is that the mountain side of the building does get very windy (though this could be dependent of time of year) so we really couldn’t use our lanai because of the wind which is a shame because the view was just beautiful- rainbows almost every day with the mountain back drop. Overall would definitely recommend this unit and the honua kai resort.

Home away from home

This condo was beautiful and well appointed. Tons of beach chairs and toys. Everything was very clean. Small snafu with the check in code at arrival (new system) but the property manager were quick and responsive. Beautiful view of the mountains. Highly recommend for families!
