Luxuriöses Hotel mit gutem Service
Sehr zentral gelegenes und sehr gut ausgestattetes Hotel. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet und überraschend professionell auch wenn die Restaurantpreise überdurchschnittlich sind.Dafür ist die Qualität des Essens hervorragend. Die große Auswahl an hoteleigenen Restaurant und Cafes sind außergewöhnlich. Der große Garten und der ebenfalls große Pool sind sauber und man kann sich dort sehr gut entspannen.

My experience
My experience with the staff is excellent. They know their job and they are very friendly. So generally, my experience with the staff from the reception to the breakfast, gym etc was excellent. The only bad experience was the noise I experienced the first night, Saturday the 17th. There was a live band that played till a few minutes after 11pm and they stopped the live band but continued with other music until I called for my room to be changed that night but there was no room available. I complained in the morning that I was disturbed from sleeping. Barnabas in the reception apologised profusely and promised to relocate me to the other wing of the building which he did and I slept better on Sunday night. Otherwise I really do not have much to complain about but to say that I had a great experience.

The hotel is showing its age. The service here is great and I would definitely stay here again. The food service in the lobby restaurant takes too long for a quick lunch in between meetings. Not sure why it takes so long. The rooms are very clean and they have a nice size desk to work at. The bathrooms at least my room did not have any hooks for hanging things and no counter space.

This is an older hotel so the rooms are slightly smaller however the location is excellent and the rooms have great views. It is within 5 minutes walk of every site of interest in downtown Kampala. The breakfast is excellent with a huge buffet filled with many items. Multiple restaurants with excellent yet well priced options. The staff is amazingly helpful and polite.

Marginal Service for Relatively High Cost
Hotels.com listing showed “airport shuttle.” Did not say “available.” Gave impression it was a courtesy shuttle. After I arrived at the hotel, I was charged $50, an amount I later learned was one hundred to two hundred percent the “going rate.” Juice offered (and unfortunately consumed) was delicious, but made me sick within 30 minutes and for the next 24 hours. Elevator didn’t work consistently with room cards and attendant was unable to help. Staff never called back (despite assurances they would) when we called to inquire about a left behind personal item.

Poor room service - not thoughtful
All was great except room service was slow and they almost always forgot to bring something - which would then take time to bring up and by then the food was cold. E.g. pancakes without syrup, or food without ketchup etc.

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for choosing to stay at Sheraton Kampala Hotel. We sincerely apologize that you did not have a pleasant stay previously. We are working on soft room renovations which will close by putting double glazing all our windows but in the meanwhile we shall allocate a room on the quiet side of the Hotel.
