This is a comfortable, no-drama home base for a small family that wants the best part of Maui close at hand.



The Space:

Up to four guests can settle into this one-bedroom, one-bath condo, which has two beds and a kitchen for simple vacation meals. Air conditioning is welcome after the beach, and the 613-square-foot layout gives the group a practical place to regroup between swims, meals, and a drive along the coast.



Guest Access:

Guests at Sugar Beach Resort enjoy access to the shared communal pool, hot tub, and BBQ grills right along the shore in Kihei. The building offers an elevator, disabled parking spot, and accessible-height features for easy access. Beach access and landscaped grounds with a garden round out the on-site amenities.



The Neighborhood:

Sugar Beach’s long beachfront makes North Kihei a natural choice for families who do not need a packed beach scene. Take a break from the sand at Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge, or head to Maalaea Harbor for time on the water and the Maui Ocean Center. Kihei’s markets, cafés, and beach parks are an easy drive south, including Kamaole Beach Park III. The neighborhood’s advantage is the choice to stay quiet or head out without a long ride.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
