Excellent service by Simple. There were a few glitches but the Simple team responded quickly each time even when a quick resolution was not possible, they stayed in contact and kept us informed. We were very impressed that even after an overnight snow storm, we were plowed and shoveled out early the next morning. The house was very clean.

They think of everything and spare no expense on how the homes are appointed and cared for. The Mountainside House takes the cake - it was one of the nicest properties any of us have ever set foot in. I can't recommend this management company and their homes enough, and they are incredibly pleasant to work with to top it off. They are the model of how things should be done in the property management world, and they have a long-term client in me!

Massive House!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was as advertised. Massive with great views of Killington and a nice yard. Realistically there are five gigantic rooms, and many with numerous beds. The sixth room is a bit smaller with smaller beds. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed the pool/foosball/ping pong games. Conveniently located a short drive to the base of the mountain. We hired a private chef to cook our meals which worked out great. A couple of our guests complained of a noisy buzz sound at night. My guess is it was related to the heater for the hot tub, but we couldn’t pinpoint where the sound was coming from. Overall a great spot, especially for very large groups.

Family Ski Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Mountainside house was everything that we had hoped for. We had a group of 12 people ranging from ages 70 to 4. The house offered plenty of space and something for everyone and provided plenty of its own entertainment. Pictures and description of the property are very accurate. Very clean and a well maintained property. Location was perfect. Only a few short minutes to the slopes and town/shops/restaurants. Trailside Management was a pleasure to work with and they were very accommodating during our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone! Snowmobile tour is a must do as well as lunch up at the K1 Peak lodge. We all enjoyed our time in Killington and at the Mountainside House.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Even though the property is promoted as a "ski off" house, the trail that leads to the house was almost impossible to find. We ended up using the provided shuttle service throughout our stay. 2 out 4 gas stoves were broken which made it quite difficult to cook for a large group. However, the house was very clean when we arrived. All the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The management office was vey responsive throughout our stay. Our kids loved the indoor hot tub and the large rec room. Plenty of space for a large group.

The Great Escape

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is huge with plenty of beds. It is truly a 4 bedroom house with extra rooms made into bedrooms. It was pretty clean (one moldy refrigerator)and in a great location. You can ski off, but you can't ski on. Had a few snags with the shuttle provided to the lift (hard to get them on the phone at first. Tried 3 phone numbers but nobody answered, but then we got Elijah to drive). There were some things that did not work (2 burners on the stove, the Thermador oven kept shutting itself off, the Keurig was broken but replaced immediately and the master tub had no cold water). Also, we were told to pack our own toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Never had to do that before. However, the view was spectacular. Overall, it was a great vacation.

Beautiful location with plenty of space

Beautiful house with plenty of room and storage. Was like a hotel with a spa, gym etc. very nice. Only knock I would say was the kitchen was outdated and not all appliances worked. Which for Thanksgiving wasn’t the best time to not have everything working. But besides that great place to stay. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful house and the whole environment. Some of the facilities are out of use, no curtains in the main bedroom, no hot water in the main bath, quite a lot of bugs and ants, no frying pan in the kitchen, and the oven's not functioning properly. 2 weeks after our stay, we finally got our deposit back with a $40 deduction of "processing fee" which was never mentioned before.So not reasonable.

The property is beautiful. The home and yard expansive. The home is in need of repairs and maintenance, and we found ants and bugs in spots they shouldn't be. With a bit more upkeep and cleaning it would be top notch.

The house has every amenity to entertain a large group: gorgeous hot tub, exercise room, pool and ping pong tables, as well as outside basketball hoop. And of course many televisions with full lineup. The caretaker comes every day to remove the trash ( thoughtful when a dozen or more are staying at the house). Effortless check in as directions and key code are provided by email. We highly recommend the Mountainside House. Alex the manager is a gem.
